Brian Kelly has just named seniors Zack Martin, Tyler Eifert, Kapron Lewis-Moore, and Manti Te'o captains for this year. Thoughts?

That is a really good point that I didn't think about, GITF, but Zack does have a leadership quality to him. Was this a team vote, or up to the coaches?

I didn't think they would have four, though it makes absolute sense. Kelly seemed like a two or three kind of guy.

The bottom line is that it shows you how good of hands this team is in from a leadership standpoint, because Theo, Jamoris, or Braxton could have been in and their would have been no complaints!

I'm with you GITF. I predicted a while back Cave/Wood/KLM/Teo. Understandable that Eifert gets Wood's spot, just really thought Cave deserved it this year.

Te'o and KLM were naturals. On almost any other team Slaughter might have been a defensive co-captain, but Kap and Manti were obvious.

On offense it's quite different. Braxton doesn't have the vocal personality and he knows it and has said it to the TV. Big Zach does. He's been occupying the center of the O-Line big boys scrum to lead cheers for a while now. So I believed that Zach was a lock too. The other O-co-captain is/was a mystery to me. I know nothing of Eifert's leadership skills. He's really tough; takes tremendous hits and gets right back at it, but I'm not sure that I've ever heard emotion on the field. I'm not sure who another candidate would be --- usually it is the QB, but we know what that is.

This set is probably as good as Kelly has with this bunch.

I feel like Eifert deserved it more than Wood, regardless of the suspension.
