Great thread, very interesting reading about everyone's background!

1999: Went to a D2 college here in Northern Mich, played QB for a year.
2000-2004: Transferred to a D3 school to play basketball. Won a small college national championship, graduated all time leading scorer/rebounder (records which have since been broken). Graduated with elementary education degree.
2006-present: Teach 1st grade. Coach freshman football. Varsity basketball coach. Just got my 100th win this year. In hot pursuit of a state championship. OH also the IE fantasy football champ, where are my vbucks?! ;)

Lot of very successful people in here....what do you expect from ND fans??!!!!

Grew up in northwest Ohio so I went to the University of Toledo where my dad went. Wasn't good enough for D1 football but we won flag football our last two years....The T-shirt and Short Heroes!!
Graduated cum laude..surprising..with a degree in Finance.

Got a job at MassMutual just outside of Toledo working as a financial rep. Worked there for 4 years. Recently got recruited to a firm in downtown Toledo, Brennan Financial, to come work for them as a Financial Advisor. Still going through the transition from firm to firm with all the transferring of licenses and compliance but I am very happy with the move.

Perhaps this position will help me in achieving my dream of owning season tickets one day.

Better hop on that waiting list. I've heard it's a long one.

There are lots of successful people everywhere, regardless of their affinity for a particular NCAA sports program.

Clearly you've never heard of "Crimson Tide" fans. Unless you count being a Grand Wizard as being successful.

Notable alumni of the University of Alabama include:

Winton Blount: Chairman of Blount International and former Postmaster General
Robert Diamond: Chairman of Barclays Bank
Jim Nabors: of Gomer Pyle fame
Sela Ward: actress
Hugo Black: former US Supreme Court Justice
Michael G. Vickers: US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intesity Conflict
Robert M. Lightfoot, Jr.: 11th Director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center
Robert Van de Graaff: Physicist and inventor of Van de Graaff Generator

I'd say that all of the above qualify as "successful"?

Right now I am going to school at Washington High School in South Bend(yes, the same school that David Perkins goes to). I am in my senior year now and after that I will be going to college to either be a teacher or go into journalism.

Stick with the teaching......... you'll be poor, but part of a noble profession. Spend all of your off time in the gym, and marry into money!

Heyheyhey come on now.

You think I'm really serious that only successful people are ND fans.

Let's not go on a tangent over something that's not worth it.

Auburn?

Alabama and Auburn are nearly the same. One is just more trashy than the other. You decide which. ;)

So I started this thread almost a year and a half ago with news of my air traffic radar certification and have been loving the job ever since. I currently work at a smaller radar approach control in the south.

But, I am thrilled to say, I have recently been picked up on a bid for New York Tracon. The Common I, N90, THE approach control.

For those of you that don't know a lot about ATC, this is like getting a shot at the majors. People that don't make it there curse the place and those that do, love it.

2012 has been tough for my family but this and the news of a little wild one on the way has been a blessing from God.. I count them everyday.

Anyone else making moves??

Decided my major/minor recently. Majoring in business and double minoring in Sports Management and Political Science.

Not very exciting though. Just sounds expensive
