I don't know if this has been posted, sorry if it has, but I did my due diligence in searching. Apparently, Chris Brown and Bennett Jackson, wearing the same number jersey, were on the field together on the missed FG. Oh my god.

I do remember seeing Brown and I think Danny Smith both getting running jumps trying to block the fg attempt. I'd assume Jackson was rushing off the corner as usual too.

Ha I too have kind of wanted to see names on jerseys, though I don't think it will happen.

I just can't imagine that call coming down right after the missed field goal. I would have thrown up. My buddy and I were right there behind the band. I may have nightmares of a flag coming down after a field goal tonight...

I hope so. Tough day for the special teams yesterday. Besides the fact that I would have driven my car into a bridge embankment on the way home from the Bend, I would have hated to see Kelly's face if they had caught it.

Yeah duplicate #s is just dumb. It limits you to things you can do on the field. Obviously we wanted Chris Brown out there bc coach wanted the best players out there to possibly block it. Same #s need to go next year.

I've never understood the duplicate numbers, it used to confuse me and now it literally could have cost us a game...may just be time to get rid of them. After Te'o graduates of course.

it happened earlier in the season and ND got flagged for having Justin Ferguson and Danny McCarthy on the field at the same time wearing #15. Ferguson was reported to have changed numbers but hes been MIA on the field so he could be wearing XX for all we know

edit - bah should have read the article. its not like ND doesnt have a bunch of free numbers anyways. Why isnt anyone wearing #47 its far and away the best number
