4.5 hour drive from Chicago. You may miss out on the Trinidad ....
Been smoking through a box of Bolivar royal coronas from 2012. They were very bland but have recently come alive and delicious
I recently tried "The Judge" by My Father.

This could be in the running for strongest cigar I have ever smoked. It was as strong as the Cohiba Behike 56 and Monte Cristo #2. I was definitely feeling it, towards the back end.
I gave one to a friend, in order to get a second opinion. He started getting dizzy before the first inch was ash. Great cigar, for the price, if you get a chance to try one.
Really enjoyed this one. Have a couple in the humidor.
My #1: Cuaba Salomones
#2: H Upmann Sir Winston
Anyone tried either?
Just had a Rocky Patel sun grown Maduro. Not bad but became harsh very quickly.
My gripe about RP is that their product is so inconsistent. I've had great sticks, only to have some really bad ones from the same batch.
Hard to argue. The one thing I've found from RP is the smaller the cigar, the better the quality.
Based on your posted information, I'm going to assume that you live in Granger...
How long have you been there? Did you frequent Club LaSalle, in the past? I was devastated to find out that they changed Club LaSalle into its current format. Damn that smoking ban.
Sadly never had the privilege, but I've heard stories from a lot of past regulars. I have been told through a friend who works for South Bend that reintroducing a cigar bar is in the works. Apparently there are several locations that still hold their grandfather clause.
Got two birthday parties to go to today. Bringing a partagas series d 4 and a por loranago petite corona
I’m glad this thread has been revived. Unfortunately I have a child now and have had to prioritize away from cigars.
I only smoke Cubans these days when I can bring them back (less often this last year), but I used to enjoy the hell out of Cuesta Reys. Anyone ever tried one? Thought they were about the closest thing to a Cuban I've ever had.
