Smoked an Oliva Serie V Melanio, tonight, Great smoke. They've gotten a little pricey, though.

Went with a Punch Signature today. It's nothing special, but this was the first cigar I had ever smoked back in the day. You never forget your first.

I'll be honest, I don't remember the first cigar I smoked. I do, however, remember the first cigar where it all "clicked" for me -- Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature

Smoking an old standard, tonight: Oliva Serie G Robusto. I used to be able to get these for $2.50 a stick, in Florida. Sadly, those days are over.

I had an Acid Deep Dish last night. I've had the occasional Kuba Kuba to mix things up, but was a bit skeptical when my buddy handed it to me. I ended up really really enjoying it.

It was square shaped 5x58 and constructed rather loose, but it really smoked and burned well.

Guess it's true what they say, you either love or hate Acids.
I'm going to add a few of them to my humidor.

I've always enjoyed them. I drive a lot for work and a Kuba Kuba is always my go to if I'm in the car for a bit.

I've never tried an Acid. Partly, I think, because of how they are looked down on. I used to be able to get so many other cigars in their price range, I figured "why bother?"

I tried to smoke another Drew cigar, yesterday -- The Herera Esteli. There was a huge crack in it. I ended up killing it, after a half inch.

I had to do that with a Cohiba about a month ago. Always breaks my heart.

Smoked a My Father Lancero, tonight. My Father is putting out some wicked sticks. Strong cigar. Major flavor, being a lancero. This is one of a few lanceros I recently purchased. I'll be interested to see how the other brands compare.

I bought a box (24ct) of Natural Dirt Torpedos on Black Friday. They were on sale for only $69. Figured even if they sucked, I could hand them out to golf partners and on poker night.

Trying the Rocky Patel sun grown Maduro. Won the #2 Cigar of the year. Really spicy cigar.

Smoked a My Father Le Bijou Petit Robusto, last night. Strong and spicy. About as oscuro as oscuro gets. Too much flavor for my general preferences.

My second cigar on Saturday was a Partagas 898 Unvarnished. I really liked it. Super mellow smoke.

The cigar was well aged, so it had that old-cigar look to it. You could totally imagine a Cuban farm-hand rolling his/her own cigar in the field, and having it come out like the one I smoked. It was curvy and rough. I've seen the term "rustic" used to describe the 898, and I think that description was spot on.

Smoked an Opus X 20th Anniversary cigar for NYE. Maybe it's just me, but Opus X just doesn't excite, anymore. This is the second straight "special" Opus X stick that was just "meh."

Last NYE, I smoked the Forbidden. It was very underwhelming. Both of these were bland. Maybe I needed to age them further?

A friend once gave me an A as a gift. THAT was a fantastic smoke. These others have been totally pedestrian.

Just finished off a Señorial by José Blanco. Very good cigar. Smooth cigar with a heavy draw.

I purchased a box of Padron '64 Principe Naturals, this weekend, for an upcoming party. I had to try one, since I haven't had a 1964 in about 10 years.

I love that cigar. I've never had a bad Padron 1964. Always a great pull, with a huge volume of smoke.

I smoked an Arturo Fuente "Between the Lines" today:

arturo-fuente-between-the-lines-b.jpg

It's an interesting cigar. I don't know if I could tell this from a standard Hemingway Best Seller, in a blind smoke. It was pretty smooth, though. Lots of smoke, good draw once it opened up.

I went to a pretty awesome cigar lounge in Downtown Miami Thursday night for my work meeting after party.

On a side note, I became a cigar rep for Valcari.

My FIL brought me back some Monte Cristo Yellow No. 3's from Cuba recently.

I don't know much about cigars, particularly foreign ones, so no idea if they are legit or just a marked-up 'tourist' cigar.
