I might have a different view on this....I dont want to see the starters out till AT LEAST 2 more TDs. I saw Ohio St. last week (or recently) up 49-7 and still chucking up 50 yard bombs with the starters.

ND has their foot on BG's throat, it's time to finish them off - no let up. ND needs to develop their killer instinct.

We've just had two tough games against Top 25 teams and we have a big rivalry game next week. They should rest and stay healthy.

I dont see any other perennial top 5 teams do that.....put them out of their misery and bury them.

You may be right. If they keep the starters in and there are no injuries... you ARE right. In my opinion, this game means very little.... even if we cover the spread. I would rather hammer USC and Michigan in the next few weeks. I think that would, arguably, add to our SOS.

This BG game has me really confused.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

We should be able to bury them with the offensive starters and the backup QB. I’d like to see it.

Isn't it important for Ian to have a game like this? Even against NM, he didn't look comfortable. I want to see a complete game from start to almost finish from him. Not saying Phil and Brendan shouldn't play the entire 4th and maybe part of the 3rd, but there is no reason to pull Ian in the first half and he should get a series or 2 in the 2nd half.

He has 5 TDs and had some nice progressions in the last few drives. Maybe one more drive, but at this point our backups need the experience more. Mostly I want to see Phil get some reps with the starters.

It looks like NBC took the hint and isn’t using that stupid camera angle anymore.

I think you scored a BINGO. What concerns me is an event where Book goes down and PJ or BC have to go in... cold. I recognize that this is exactly what IB did early last season but I think he was the exception rather than the rule.

Barring injury, I think our OL, RB's and QB all gain from additional playing time.As a part-time pessimist, I just worry about the law of Diminishing Returns.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Late throw by Book in his specialty area but it still should have been caught.

That's the kind of miss I didn't want to see from Book today. Those passes are his money makers and can't afford to miss those in the big moments.

Why can't Book be perfect like the Big Book?

That was not the first pass today where the ball was thrown a little behind the WR/RB. The fact that we’re playing a lesser opponent is covering it up. That ball should be shoulder height I front of the WR he last throw that ball was behind and towards the back armpit. Not a great throw, should have been a TD. If you’re happy w/ that, cool but I expect and have seen him to play better is all.

I was really just hoping to see Okwara get his sack count up and on track for the 20 he has targeted. Has he gotten any?
Also why doesn't Hamilton have a handful of interceptions?
