But WH doesn't have the Grand Slam and the ambience!

i dunno man WH is pretty legendary:

don't forget Gray also (see Sad Pitt uniforms)

Yesss..... Along with the Lions and Seahawks last night.

Those Pitt uniforms were awful

Haha true. Even the announcers were criticizing how awful they were.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Black names on a grey uniform. I couldn't read a single name!

Like someone pointed out in the Pitt thread, it’s their Super Bowl uniforms lol.

Had to tape the game and watch it later Saturday night. Sitting there with the wife who is busy playing on her phone when I comment about not being able to read the names. She looks up at the TV and immediately blurts out, "Who the F@ck designed those hideous things?" lol

Another team bringing out all the stops for irrelevant Notre Dame.

I guess you've got to find motivation somewhere. The unis should keep them in the game for a quarter tops.

I'd go to IHOP before the awful waffle lol... to much stuff has gone down at the Waffle House the last few years.

I think they have Metro Diner in GA. Check it out and you can thank me later. Great breakfast.

No Metro Diners (there's one in Savannah though), but we do have a Metro Cafe Diner.

If I were hitting something before the game, it would Mary Mac's Tea Room. Most are pick up only now days.

I'm happy just eating a bunch of apps when I go there. We always get friend green tomatoes and fried okra. Deviled eggs too. Fried chicken, and chicken and dumplings are great too. Love their catfish and shrimp. I always have to get some banana pudding.... Always have to loosen the belt after a trip there.

From the little I've watched GT this year, their freshman QB seems like he has big play capability and high compete level but is also prone to TOs/mistakes. Defensively, I recall L'ville moving the ball at will but the D had afew opportune TOs, not sure how much of that was scheme vs. L'ville just not executing and having a terrible game.

I expect us to roll, I just hope we don't get off to a slow start and let them gain some confidence. I trust Lea to shut them down and I hope Book builds on his game @ Pitt and has a good outing. Don't expect GT to have any success stopping our rush attack either.

I hope the squad doesn't have that typical let down game looking ahead to Clemson and overlooking a drastically inferior opponent on paper.

Your first sentence is spot on. GT got slaughtered by BC but lost in that is Sims zipping some some 30 yard darts for TD's. He has a great arm and can run well too. He's going to be really good but right now he's mistake prone.

Their RB #21 is another frosh with great talent. He took a KO to the house in the 1st quarter (didn't count, holding penalty) literally ran by a half dozen BC defenders.

Then there was the 2nd drive when Sims and #21 blew a simple handoff fumbling on their own 20.

So, is the tropical storm in the Gulf a non-factor for the game? Would hate to see "hurricane" weather turn this into a mudfest. Forecast now looks OK, just hope it stays that way so Irish can roll and get ready for Tigers.

I think bad conditions might actually help us. I think we'd run all over them.

GT now has turf so that should limit the sloppiness of the field some.

The rain is forecast to be out of there by Saturday. Near perfect conditions at kickoff:

Low 60's -- No rain -- Slightly breezy w. winds under 10 mph.

Let's play two.

Haven’t listened to the other pods do their GT predictions but “The Shamrock” is already looking ahead to Clemson. I get it...can’t blame them. But Sampson/Fortuna basically dismissed GT as even having a chance. Sure, on paper, they are correct but when those knuckleheads dismiss an opponent, I take the underdog to cover.

BC beat them by 21. Clemson by 64.
If we don't beat them by 20, that would be scary.

Agree 100% but it seems when the pundits dismiss the opponent, as bad as they may be (see Ball St & Vandy in 2018; Duke & UL this year); crazy stuff can still happen combined w/ a team who comes out flat or looking ahead.

TBF to the pundits, they are right it should be a walkover but when I get told to expect a relaxing Saturday & I end up stressing over an embarrassing game I need someone to blame...LOL.

I think we'll roll. BK knows we look strong. IMO, this should be a game focusing on the basics and fine tuning some stuff to prep for Clemson. Not saying take it likely. I'm saying take it very serious, and use it to get ready.

I'm just pissed to have a game in my back yard, and can't go.

Maybe I'm just a worry wart, but this game feels like its going to be one of those games thats closer than it needs to be. Then ND puts it away convincingly late. Leaving room for 2 days of "we're never going to beat Clemson." Being an ND fan is so weird.

TBF, isn't that what happened with Lville? I get that Lvile is probably better than GT, but still...

I'll be glad to answer any GT questions you guys might have...

My prediction for the game is take ND and the spread.

Our weakness on D (really its all bad) is the run game. BC finally attacked it last week and exposed it.

We play a 4-2-5 and our LB's are really not that good.

A stat that sums this weekend up for me

Notre Dame Defense - Giving up 273.8 ypg
Georgia Tech Defense - Giving up 280.5 ypg against the pass

This is a great summary of us.

Sims has a good arm and his potential is really high. Right now his mistakes are high, hes tied for 2nd in the nation in INTS and leading the nation in fumbles.

We've played one clean game all year and that is vs Lville.

21, Jahmyr Gibbs is elite. Has a ton of talent. A big threat in the passing game as well. Jordan Mason and Gibbs are a good duo at RB for us.

Fwiw, the coaches said that fumble was on the center and he got pulled after that. Either way we turn the ball over frequently.

Yeah, I'm curious as well. The option was GT's thing for so long. It's a perpetually dangerous thing to play against when you only have one opponent that runs it.

I think for the most part people like Collins. A few are getting tired of his press conferences and his slogans. He repeats the same phrases over and over. Some have compared it to Butch Jones. So, he has to show he can start winning at some point in the near future.

Overall he is a high energy guy who is more of a recruiter than an X and O guy.

The majority are happy. You have the select few (I would guess somewhere around 5-10 %) who wanted us to hire another option type and stick with that. Most thought the option had run its course and were ready to see something else.

Collins and Johnson are just so night and day different in every aspect.
