Nonsense. This is totally unacceptable. It is right there with all the dogs$it losses early in Kelly's era. He is accountable. He needs to coach better, recruit better, game plan better. This is unacceptable and no ND fan should accept it.

Kelly needs to commit to the ground and pound. All that cutesy pie crap along with some bad plays by upperclassmen on defense cost ND the game. Pretty pathetic. ND should have run this team off the field. Oh well.

Pitt had 4 scoring drives:
-Tuitt ejection penalty for a 1st down.
-Ridiculous PI call for a 1st down.
-Started at the 5 from a Tommy pick... when we could've had a scoop and score if our D was paying any attention at all.
-A 63 yard TD because Farley can't tackle.

We (or the refs) gift wrapped that entire game to them. They played awful. We just played even worse from coaches to quarterback to every guy on the field. It's just pathetic and embarrassing. I don't know if I'm more mad about that ridiculous, incompetent officiating or Tommy Rees choking to epic levels.

There's no reason we don't beat that team by 28+ if people get their heads out of their bums.

PS. These replay officials are clearly in on the fix along with at least some of those refs on the field. I knew the line stunk. I was warned by my "guy" about this game and didn't put any real money on it. That's my tinfoil hat view. But refs didn't make Tommy throw those game altering picks and they didn't make TJ Jones fumble in the red zone.

Games like this make me contemplate quitting. I know all programs lose sometimes, but do any other programs have nights like this where seemingly every possible crazy things goes against you? It is a sickening feeling, and I don't know if I can keep convincing myself that these things all even out anymore. There is something about this program where these kinds of nights are so familiar.

Really think Kelly needs to evaluate his entire coaching staff this offseason. What is going to take ND to the next level? Being elite like Alabama, OSU and FSU? Is Diaco the defensive coordinator that will make us elite?

These are some of the questions that need answers this offseason. From my perspective I don't see Diaco being the guy to lead us to the next level.

But you Contiune to give it to McDaniel straight up the middle...if Kelly wasn't so damn stubborn maybe we would have safeties that would tackle...we can't have any nice things...we have freshman that can play but you don't play them...Unbelievable

ND needs to wake up and start making their opponents play their game and not play down to the level of a Pitt, Navy, Purdue. This game makes me think of the UCONN loss from a few years back
