The AAC should be cleaning themselves out like the Big 12 and SEC. If Memphis could lose to Rice before we beat Navy that would be nice.

I know every year I cry about this, but I don't like the fact that the biggest game we have left on the schedule is the week after playing these guys. We're already banged up enough on OL/DL and they seem to always take a few of us with them injury wise.

Maybe you're right and my memory is poor, but the only time I remember service academy option blocking really being an issue was Air Force 30+ years ago when one of the wounded was Bryce Young's dad.

I get it, but I loved the Arkansas game (yes I know it was on the road) starting at 11am my time. I work night shift so I came home, took a nap, then woke up had coffee & a screw driver. Best feeling ever. Then with the game ending in the afternoon went to a really cool restaurant where I had some good seafood and some local beers and I was happy while I was eating & drinking and not using the good food and beer to make myself feel better. Game day can be like that every week as far as I’m concerned.
I’m guessing a 56-13 beat down contributed to that good feeling. It’s hard to wait all day for the game to happen but once it starts you can’t beat the stadium environment. It’s like a real college football game with real fans making noise. Place looks great! Would still like to see some beautiful real grass.

It did but I also liked knowing if I was gonna have a good or bad day early in the day and not waiting all day to find out. Lol

Up north of Mount Vernon? I’ve heard of it but never been. Do they sell fiddlers?
Yes in Carlyle. I was craving crab legs that day and I got them and drank a lot so I don’t recall the ins and outs of the menu as well as I should. But if you’re from the area you should go.

Gotcha. Couldn’t tell by your OP whether you attended game life or watched at home. Made me think of Fish City Grill in Bentonville
I haven’t been able to go to a home game I don’t want my first experience seeing the Irish to be on the road.

Fair enough. I only recall watching one away game in person, and it wasn't my first ND game, but I fondly remember it 37 years later. I just did a write-up about Michael Stonebreaker in another thread, and his pick-six in that game came to mind (0.32 mark below.) I was fortunate to catch ND's first two games in 1988. But if an away game isn't something you're into, I understand.

We could really use a 51-0 snoozer to usher in an “era of good feelings” on the board. It’s getting pretty chippy in the game day threads down the stretch here!

We'll get to 51 vs that horrible defense.

Of course, I said that before BC too.

Crazy stat: Horvath has better rushing numbers than J Love. Horvath: 138 carries for 926 yds 6.7 per carry.
Love 141 for 894, 6.3.
Check back in a week.

Hey guys, posted in the thread for visitors, but thought I may get more traction here:

Kind of a specific question.

I’m coming in for the Navy game this Thursday. I want to pivot from our usual Rocco’s eatery, and I want to take my daughter, son in law, and grandson to Fiddler’s Hearth downtown for dinner (either Thursday or Friday). The son in law is a big fan of scotches and Irish whiskey, and Rohr’s turns into a shit show…

- Is one night on game weekends substantially better than the others (Thursday vs Friday)?

- Do they have live music on Thursday and Friday?

- Friday, I can only get a reservation at 6:30 for 3….do you think they’d care or would it be that big of a deal to make it for 3 and show up with 4 (my grandson is 5)? Thursday is wide open ..;
