Seems like the team was too reliant on Adams to break up the opponent's oline. Miami shut that down and our secondaries were exposed last week, which Miami took full advantage. The team did not prepare at all to play if the running game was shut down.

It feels like we didn't learn anything from the UGA game. You CANNOT call slow developing plays against a fast defense. You run at it with speed and not around it with slowness.

So if we go 10-2, what bowl game do we go to? I sure as hell don't want to play tOSU, again. Actually, I don't want to play anyone with any semblance of a defense. Wimbush isn't good enough to carry us.

Still have to play Stanford

Defender actually made a great break on the ball, he read the play. Earlier in the game they had multiple other great plays that almost led to turnovers. Moreover, their effort and effectiveness has been A+ all game and that comes from motivation.

I'm so tired of this. Every. Single. Year.

No matter how good or how bad things get. There's always that typical ND moment where we fall flat on our ass when the moment is at it's biggest.

0-27. This is humiliating. I can't believe it only took 1 game this season to be ashamed to be a ND fan again. So much for all that leadership, all that experience, all that renewed confidence. All down the toilet.

I get that 8-2 after an abysmal 4-8 season is still not bad, but I can't look past how much we squandered a golden opportunity by playing like utter garbage today. Shameful across the board.

We've regressed SO much this week. Firing on all cylinders going into this game and suddenly, we can't do ANYTHING right. The more things change, the more they stay the god damn same...

Im with you. I just don’t get how or why we coach differently in big games. Why? Out of nowhere we start doing crap we haven’t done all year. Can we throw to a tight end? Can we try and little something with tony jones or Dex? Wimbush hasn’t had any designed runs that come to mind it’s on and on and on

This would be a great night for ND to win, UGA got crushed. Miss St might beat Alabama. Please let ND come out on fire in the second half.

Win the last two and it's some NY6 bowl... where we may very well get pasted.

I don't think we're beating Stanford though. 9-3 and whatever mediocre bowl that entails.

Disappointed.

Seems like they went away from the slow developing running game the past month or so just to go back at the worst time possible.

I wish they came out “Stanfording” and showed how to beat a small and fast defense.

Yes. Why? Why does this happen? Ok...we underestimated their speed. Adjust, and make better plays. If we score when it’s 14-0, it’s a different ballgame. But Kelly thinks that pulling the qb is the right call? I don’t get it.

Bama won't lose, championship teams always figure out a way to win.

Problem is, we're too slow even on simple reach blocks. Their tackles are penetrating on the snap, and Hainsey/Kramer is too slow to slip to the play side. I don't think our offenses can run on interior trap blocking; we're predominantly dependent on stretch plays.

We're screwed.

Jerry Palm, CBSSports.com this past week predicted an ND loss and a SELECTION COMMITTEE BOWL GAMES trip to the Cotton Bowl versus UW.

Other than that due to conference tie-ins choices are slim.

I have confidence that we can beat Stanford. Stanford's D is not like these speedy Southern defenses.

Also, I'm still convinced the weather difference between SB and Miami is playing a role in the game we're seeing.

Losing is part of it but when you act like you don’t want to be on the field that’s what pisses me off.

That would be cool. We haven't played them in a few years.

Good team, exciting players.

We are a service academy. I thing against the military, which I love (thank you for your service). But think about it.

This is the type of game where a back like Dexter could thrive. I felt he could have impacted the UGA game. I realize he is hurt, but some of the dives we ran with Tony Jones went 3 to 5 yards. The tackles are running up the field and their ends are crashing. It would be nice to run some jet sweeps w/ Stepherson - just to keep them honest.
