I never owned a pair of UA shoes while I was still hooping and I run in NB's but for a pair of walking around shoes, these are as comfortable as I've ever owned... and everyone comments on them.

I liked those for walking, but the inside fell apart much quicker than I was expecting. Also, I only use them for walking. Anything that requires even a slight amount of lateral movement caused my ankle to roll. The same thing that made them comfortable also meant they had to side support.

First off, agree on the Champion gear as long as it's the Reverse Weave sweatshirt/hoodies. Best quality clothing made. Someday, the only thing left on this planet will be cockroaches and Reverse Weave crewneck sweatshirts.

As far as hats... why would you buy anything but New Era fitted's??? I'm also a jughead and I can find endless supplies of 7 3/4's in any style/color I want.

Thank you for the “reverse weave” phrase....I drew a blank and that was driving me crazy. Love those sweatshirts.

I do wear New Era fitted when it comes to baseball. I have a UA on-field ND baseball hat that fits well. With New Era I’m also weary of purchasing online b/c there are slight differences in sizing depending on when they were manufactured. I prefer to try them on. They do make a nice flex fit hat, too.

But the ND football sideline gear (which I prefer) is always their apparel outfitter so adidas & UA flex fits or even OSFA looked like a tam on my head or was just too damn tight.

I snagged the all green UA show w/ the shamrocks along the side tread. Great for walking around & they do get comments b/c they pop

I particularly picky when it comes to headwear b/c I wear a 7 5/8 hat and both UA & adidas have flex fit hats that I can’t wear in XL b/c they’re still too tight.

It's a cross us brainiacs are burdened to carry.

I was bored at work (yes, I have to work today) and started fiddling with some of the brand numbers we get from a third-party vendor. One thing that stood out to me was that Notre Dame fans have a markedly lower opinion and purchase consideration of Nike compared to the general population. Also, they have identical preference for UA and Adidas, even though they "should" prefer UA.

So when it comes to recruiting, Nike might be a good move. But when it comes to actually selling merch with little leprechauns on it, Adidas might be the best move.

Champion apparel for fans will likely always be available regardless of the fact that they won’t outfit team uniforms like they did in the past. So you should be fine in that regard. They’ve made a nice comeback and probably offer the best sweatshirt on the market IMO. They’re actually constructing them like they did back in the late 80s/early 90s w/ the tackle twill lettering. The cost has reflected as much but they’ll last forever.

To me, Nike has a better fit and look than UA or adidas when it comes to fan wear. I have no issue w/ ND team uniforms for any of their sports...they did a nice job. I particularly picky when it comes to headwear b/c I wear a 7 5/8 hat and both UA & adidas have flex fit hats that I can’t wear in XL b/c they’re still too tight. UA did offer an XL/XXL last season for hats but must didn’t repeat that offer this season.

I haven't bought a Champion product in many many years. I just have old Champion stuff that still looks great. I really don't see any ND gear from Champion at the stores when I go back to Indy, so not really an option unless I want to order on-line.

I love the way my fleece quarterzip fits from UA. It's one of my favs for game day. I like Nike and Adidas polos though.

I have the same line, just different colors. Black heel, charcoal heather body, and a few green accents. Most comfortable shoes I have right now for just chilling. Don't wear them a lot, but I put them to the test for two straight weeks at the beach, and they held up great, and did great in the washer.

I like that when they shrink, they shrink narrower, instead of shortening. I've got big shoulders/thick chest, and things are always big around the gut. The Champion stuff narrows up like the slim dress-shirts I buy. The Adidas stuff ended up still being overly loose around the gut, but shortened up. I wish more brands would reverse weave.

Maybe I'm wrong, but can't a player wear any shoes and gloves they want already?
