Sloppy game at times but a top 3 win is a top 3 win! Feel like we still haven’t reached our full potential yet, excited to see if they can get there these next few weeks!

Definitely still an elite win to beat duke on the road. IT moves ND to number one in the RPI too. Hopefully Pat doesn't slide down hill like he did last year with his health issues. If he's hurt at all, I actually hope they rest him until he's as close to full go as you can be come tourney time.

They said they put a brace on his shoulder after the injury and he returned to action. Probably a subluxation. Should be able to get thru the season wearing the brace.

We could limit his minutes vs the weaker teams, but there really aren't any. Still can keep him out late if games are in hand.

One of the announcers (probably Quint K) said "Notre Dame is unequivocally the best team in the country right now". which was nice to here. They other guys asked "do they have ant weaknesses?" he said "umm they could use another short stick defensive middie". LOL

Gotta admit....never watched a game before last years semi finals....but hooked now

I'm in this boat too but started a couple of years ago. I've started watching every college game I can now. Really not sure how this sport isn't huge. It's like something created in a lab to shave off all the rough edges of other field sports.

Also somewhat interested for my kid when the time comes to play youth sports. I think contact sports are important, but I know football is going to be a big argument with the wife. This seems less obviously violent but you see some really nice hits.

My son is in his third season, started when he’s 11. I have yet to see any big collisions thus far. I know it’s a possibility the older he gets but I still have felt he’s pretty safe out there.

11 yr old lacrosse is a lot like flag football as far as injury risk is concerned. But high school lacrosse isn't that much different from youth lacrosse and high school football is majorly different from flag.

I wonder how long before flag replaces tackle in high school.

Totally dependent on where you are playing...I live in central PA, coached middle school lacrosse for 5 years, and it can be brutal. The old adage "playing a sport where you can hit kids with a stick" definitely still exists. The refs are clueless and a lot of teams are just out to smash people, especially the less talented ones. I fought every game with the refs to at least call slashes and crosschecks to the head/neck area and never ended up being heard. We had people getting hurt nonstop!

Really surprised to hear this. These are 11-12 year olds? Good lord.

There is orders of magnitude less head trauma in lacrosse relative to football. It's very physical, and guys get beat up, but there aren't the same long term health risks as you see with football.

RB -- what's interesting is that out here they have basically eliminated big body checks at the youth level, so it's mostly people hacking away with their stick. Refs seem to call any stick contact to the helmet but unless you take a baseball swing windup they don't seem to really police the other stuff.

Nice win but we really got outplayed after the first quarter. But that last minute we made the plays and pulled it out.
Really hard to watch though since the PBP announcer was quite strange and very pro Cornell. And that women fan who must have been right behind them. That must have been her kid taking face offs for Cornell.

If anyone is going to the game and is able to snag an extra 2023 Natty champ mini stick, please let me know. I'd be interested in buying one.

Another W to finish the season against Virginia. Have to play them again Friday in the ACC semis. Should be interesting to see how that game goes.

Next game to UVA is almost meaningless save for the obvious conference championship attempt. We are #1 and will remain #1 regardless of what happens there. I don't see anyone who could pass us if we lose one more game and there's only one more to lose before the NCAAs The same is true for the #1 seed in the NCAA's, no one is in position to pass us.
