i agree as i wanted to watch badly but wasn't paying money to get big ten+ for one game. so IrishLax do you think that we have a shot at making a run for the national title with this offense of ours. Taylor returned for this game from what i read elsewhere which is huge for this team going forwardIt kills me that the game of the year was on Big Ten+…
They're less physical / more skilled than past teams on offense. Taylor was a revelation last year but Ricciardelli offers a similar skillset as an offball player so no matter what the team is in good shape at attack. Midfield lacks "1st team AA" types but they're all athletes and Dobson adds a dimension to the offense that few teams have.i agree as i wanted to watch badly but wasn't paying money to get big ten+ for one game. so IrishLax do you think that we have a shot at making a run for the national title with this offense of ours. well, we also lost to Maryland and Georgetown last year so this is different, at least so far.Ohio State used to be *by far* our biggest rival when you talk about the GWLL days. There was a stretch of years where we never lost to them, but they were always heated games. The #1 reason ND missed the tournament last year was horrible execution and horrible strategy in what should've -- in retrospect -- been a comfortable win. I'm hoping ND doesn't have a "let down" game and takes care of business today. This is a *huge* OOC resume game.
It is still short and it mostly has to do with people not wanting to travel to South Bend.Lax, I think this was mentioned somewhere in this thread but I'm nothing more than a lacrosse casual I don't know if it's true again...does ND still have a relatively short schedule? Have we beefed it up? Should seem simple to add a game or two.
I felt bad for Charlotte because she was way too green for that kind of color broadcasting role next to two seasoned professionals. She did her best and will learn from it.Irish pummel Buckeyes. Some one needs to inform the former BC women's player that Ohio St isn't almost winning.
OTOH Paul Carcaterra really seems to love ND and their chances this year.
If Lynch can get close to 50% of the face-offs against the big boys.....Virginia, Maryland, Duke....I truly believe this is their year...Elite offensive playmakers, top notch 2 way middies, a defense with some high level transfers that is really starting to gel, and an Elite Goalie. All the pieces are there..Lynch just has to step up when it matters!Irish pummel Buckeyes. Some one needs to inform the former BC women's player that Ohio St isn't almost winning.

curious to know why people don't want to come to South Bend. most teams play in cold weather regions like us and i'm guessing that couldn't be why and we also have an indoor facility to play in when it gets too nasty outside where as i see eastern teams having to play outside in nasty weather probably because they have no indoor facility to go intoIt is still short and it mostly has to do with people not wanting to travel to South Bend.
They are too far to drive and lacrosse programs can't afford to fly in many cases. There are a few lower programs within driving distance that we could play more; Detroit Mercy, Bellarmine and Robert Morris come to mind. Utah, Denver and Air Force are teams that have to fly to all their games, they might be interested in a home and home.curious to know why people don't want to come to South Bend. most teams play in cold weather regions like us and i'm guessing that couldn't be why and we also have an indoor facility to play in when it gets too nasty outside where as i see eastern teams having to play outside in nasty weather probably because they have no indoor facility to go into
It’s about needing to take a flight mid-week whereas teams prefer to do short bus trips for their mid-week games for financial reasons.curious to know why people don't want to come to South Bend. most teams play in cold weather regions like us and i'm guessing that couldn't be why and we also have an indoor facility to play in when it gets too nasty outside where as i see eastern teams having to play outside in nasty weather probably because they have no indoor facility to go into
The gulf between ND, UVA, MD and the rest of college lacrosse is surprisingly large at the moment.Looks like they'll be a new #1 team this week and it will be ND. We crushed Mich today and Virginia lost in OT to Maryland.
Anything less than a trip to Memorial Weekend is an epic fail. This team is loaded and playing lights out right now, other than FOGO. Lynch was total garbage yesterday...2/13 against and average Michigan FOGO isn't going to cut it! He absolutely needs to step up his game to give them a legitimate shot to win their first championship! At the midpoint of the season, ND has the #1 RPI, two Top 10 wins, and two Top 20 wins. If Ohio State beats Denver today, then ND is in good position to make the tourney almost regardless of whatever else happens. Winning against Virginia and Duke and they will be the runaway #1 seed.

Hard to see them taking 2-of-2 from UVA. I think most likely outcome is to finish the year with 1-2 losses. If they can win 2 of 3 from UVA & Duke then they are a lock for the #1 seed.could you see this team going undefeated in the regular season if they beat UVA next weekend
