anyone seen PSU play this season and are they really good

They are pretty mediocre and only are ranked where they are thanks to a total fluke win over Cornell. They have one truly elite player on offense and aren't "bad" but certainly aren't good either. ND is a -300 favorite, so by the bookies should win this matchup 3 out of 4 times.

Cornell won but Richmond showed that this tournament is wide open with the way they took the big red down to the last minutes in a very close back and forth game

Both games today were insane. 'Cuse is the biggest style mismatch for ND mainly because they dominate ND on faceoffs and the style they play on offense is a very tough cover. ND has to get through PSU and Cornell first though....

Looks like Corrigan has been able to shrink our poor starts that have plagued us all season from lasting the whole first half to just the first quarter. If we can start hot, there isn’t a team that can beat us

What a choke job. ND couldn’t do crap against the zone. No outside shooter killed ND. Trainer carried PSU, he is a stud. Great 3 year run by the Irish. Still complete choke job. You can’t end the game giving up 8 goals unanswered

Facts...Was saying it all game and never understood...So frustrating!

ND had no answer for Traynor, when they were up 12-6 seems like ND took their foot off the pedal.

0 goals in the 4th qtr. and Penn St. ending the game on a 8-0 run.

ND had such of a great goalie the past 2 years with Entenmann, Ricciardelli needs to up his game next year.

No adjustments on D to take away their only elite offensive player
No timeouts to break psu's adrenaline run when your D is spent
No leaders stepping up when they truly needed to
Great run, but tough pill to swallow with that loss

How many of the 8 goals in their run were on Ricciardelli? Offenses sputter, and this offense sputtered more than the past couple of seasons, but the goalie has to save a few of those and give the offense some extra chances. Make a save and get the ball back to our offense. Instead, it was goal/faceoff loss/goal, repeat.

Sucks, but a very fitting end to the season, as this team felt bipolar most of the year.

Fair to point fingers but let’s also appreciate the run that we’ve had (and will continue to have in the upcoming seasons). Damn near impossible to three-peat in any sport & our roster is positioned well enough to always be a top contender.

I am actually shocked it took teams this long to start zoning ND. ND's man up was STRAIGHT ASS all year, and zone you get an extra defender lol

I missed the game cuz I was busy losing a HS state championship game soooooo not a great day in the Lax household...
