Thanks for the correction. Even at 14th, I can't envision the BCS committee taking a 3 loss ND team over anyone in the top 10. Talkiing about the CFB fans (other than ND fans) going ballistic! Wow, that would cause a "near riot"!

Did the BCS care when Auburn got "slighted" or CAL got shafted with intentionally skewed voting to knock them out, or when any of the non-AQs didn't get selected. If elected officials threatening congressional hearings don't cause a stir what effect will a "near riot" on message boards going to cause?

It isn't about whether ND will qualify or not but whether the bowls can select whom they chose among those qualifiers. The BCS by design only arranges that #1 plays #2, the others teams are at the discretion of the BCS Bowls.
