They're trying to intimidate the new South Korean leaders and also bargain for more foreign aid. More empty threats.

Bingo...

its a shakedown...like it always is...

I say pay 'em if you are going to pay 'em, and stop giving them visibility. If the shakedown is over...warn them to stand down, then if they don't cut it out...take out the little prick at the head of the table with a sniper team. No need to blow up anyone.

And I thought Rodman was baked years ago. Wow, what an idiot. If he stays, he could figuratively become their Secretary of State.

Fify, literally, just barely.

The thing I worry about most with the while North Korea situation is it will lead to more and more Dennis Rodman interviews. Just fade back into obscurity, Dennis.

Zactly!

Charles now has second thoughts about this game in North Korea, as do some other players

Charles Smith feels remorse for North Korea game - ESPN

You could tell in the clip that some of the guys looked embarrassed when Rodman started ranting. I think he sold them a bill of goods that this would be mission of peace and that they would be simply providing an olive branch. Now they are realizing that they are just pawns in Rodman's bizarre relationship with Kim.

Rodman is a piece of garbage benefiting from a brutal dictatorship. He's no worse than the Kims right now. He is friends with and enables a mass murderer.

I think that's spot on. Like I said in my earlier statement, I'm guessing that they prompted Rodman before the interview to keep his mouth shut, or go with short answers, or something along those lines. As he got going, Charles tried to pull him back, but Rodman kept ploughing ahead and destroying what little, if any, merit this little exhibition game was meant to be. If it was meant to be some kind of olive branch, that's certainly been destroyed. It probably would have ended up that way regardless, who knows, maybe Rodman just sped things along.
