Watching the postgame both the analysis said it was a penalty (though the didn't agree with the call because it was overtime... I think one of the guys was a Flyer so...). But whatever the final was 5-4, so I'll take it.

JR played for the flyers as well as 4 other teams.. But anyway streit had decent position throughout and though his one hand gets a part of his shoulder that's not even close to what SHOULD completely wipe out one of the STRONGEST skaters in the game.

Hawks look slow today. They are getting out hustled and outmuscled. Crawford has kept them in it today.

Anybody who likes fights would have love the Ottawa vs Montreal game. Plenty of cheap shots. Beautiful.

Who would have thought this would be the most intriguing series when the playoffs started? I thought it would be close but this has become so much more. I think the chances of a Prust- Neil fight have gone up to 100% for next game. Also Gorges is a greasy bastard for shooting the puck at Turris with like 20 seconds left.

Anyone else notice over the years how Madison Square Garden and HP Pavilion (shark tank) both look very drab and dim on TV, like the lighting is always low... I always think that about both arenas

Loved the Ottawa game, good fights, plenty of scoring, good lighting...

Noticed that too.

On the Ottawa/Montreal note.

Concerning the timeout, I understand both point of views. On one hand it really is humiliating when you're on the loosing side, but MacLean was making sure his guys wouldn't do anything stupid. Ottawa are deep inside Montreal heads right now. The canadiens are playing a game they are not built to play. Game 4 will be another shitshow. Love old time playoff hockey.

Yep. But that's the way the Canadiens have been the past few years, You get physical with them they fold.

For sure. That is why teams like the flyers, the bruins and even the sens are a terrible match for them. I think they would rather play Pittsburgh. I mean even their big guys are not that physical.

Awesome line brawl, but damn Habs try to shake the tree and it absoloutly backfired. Cowen and Neil DESTORYED two Habs. Great response by the sens to not let the ice tilt after that.

Subban is such water trash.

as lavy would say "MONTREAL TYPICAL"

He's one of those guys that has to be on your team in order to root for em in any way shape or form.

Yep. I think think they shoulda offer sheeted him or something. There was a rumor they wanted Couturier for him. I woulda done that in a heartbeat

Yup. Paying what they payed for Prust you could tell they were desperate for something, and even he isn't a big guy.

I think Prust wanted to be in Montreal. His girl is from Montreal. Huge habs haters in family though. My father still watch them just to see them loose even though it's been over 15 years that the Nordiques have left the city. Anyways, you guys should hear the media around here. All they do is talk about the canadiens. It sickens me.

HOW ABOUT THOSE CANUCKS?!?

What a great regular season team!

You know you are having problems in the post season when the San Jose Sharks make you look bad in the playoffs............

on a side note, really rooting for a Ducks/Kings matchup this year... would be EPIC.

I would love that matchup as well. Until these two teams meet in the playoffs, it will never be a true rivalry.

Back to the Canucks, I am just amazed they have lost so many at HOME in the playoffs! 5 straight by my recollection.

I don't get how it can't be a real rivalry until a playoff series... oh well.

Same, total meltdown brought me happiness, shooting pucks at players, cussing out opposing coach, having 3 potentially suspendable plays in one game, starting a bunch of fights and losing everyone: Priceless

IDK... it'd be like Texas trying to leave the union four or five times and then renaming the Cowboys the "Americens"... looking too far into it?? probably... still laugh at it... they should just change the name to 'habitants' and be done with it.

I read on twitter that since they went up 2-0 on Boston in the finals they are like 2-11 in the playoffs and have been outscored 44-22
