At my school, we always have Russian exchange students for like 2 weeks and the exhange students and all students taking Russian got to meet Vladimir Tarasenko. So epic, would have taken russian if I knew that would happen.

Never really knew much about Murray, but after reading his comments about the trade, I have a new respect for him. Seems like a class act dude the whole way and had very gracious things to say on his departure. Nice to hear from an athlete these days.

Can't wait for the flyers to retool, with so many teams "in it" with the shortened season the buyers market is gonna boom, which gives sellers the chance to get some serious value. Hope that's the path the brass takes this year.

If your remember the 2007 nhl entry draft the lottery was implemented that year. The flyers were dead last in the standing and would have had the first pick if Bettman hadn't changed the rule that year, instead the hawks who were 5th to last won the lottery... Letting them jumping the flyers and taking Kane first overall. Who 3 years later.. Found Michael 5hole leightons sweet spot from an impossible angle.. Ask most flyers fans today and chances are you'll still hear groans about that draft..

no doubt. Im just saying im not sold on handing over the cup, like everyone is going GaGa over the moves they've made, which obviously only helps. but id still take the field over the pens at the moment. the bruins (ironically enough) match up well with pens. and with the added "fuel" if you will with the iginla happenings anything could happen in a playoff series.

Theyll for sure go into the playoffs the favorite to come out of the east. and to win the cup. but they were the favorite last year as well.. (not a flyers jab, just stating)

the Bs pose a threat, or running into a goalie that can be lights out.. Ie a Price, or even Anderson if he keeps up the way he has been in net.. and ofcourse a netminder out west could do the very same if they reach the cup..Quick..Crawford..ofcourse this can happen to team.

like STL alot now with the addition of JayBo, could bring together one of the best shut down Ds in the NHLs recent history...potentially atleast.

should be interesting to see what they do moving forward with a crowded blue line, and with Shat/Piet contracts expiring, granted they are RFA's, i wouldnt be suprised to see Shat delt sooner rather then later. should be interesting if they try and keep the D in tact and drop cap elsewhere.. one things for sure id be sweating if they let Piet reach july without a deal.. I could see multiple teams sending an offer sheet his way.
