This is dumb scheduling. Super Bowl winners should HAVE to open on the road. I wonder if someone bribed someone.

32nd pick and open on the road? Not sure why the week 1 game should matter, everyone gets 8 home games and 8 away games regardless (unless you get shafted and play in London).

The NFL does it for the ratings bonanza I believe. They make a whole thing out of the pre-game festivities and the Super Bowl banner being revealed. Usually, the commissioner is there but he's skipping out this year for some reason....

Can't tell how I feel about the spread. Steelers defense looks pretty crappy this season with that secondary, but the Pats are weirdly low on quality WRs right now. Brady looked sloppy in the pre-season, but could also come out guns blazing. Sucks there are so many suspensions and injuries for this one. No Bell, Blount, Pouncey, Bryant, Lafell, etc.

This is literally the opposite of correct. Super Bowl winners play at home on Thursday night to open the season. If not by rule, then by firmly adhered-to tradition.

Cheaters should always play away, at night, to open the season. Hell it should've been at least a tougher opponent.

I won't watch a minute... I hate the Steelers but i'd rather them lose to a legit team and not a team that is bugging their locker room and stealing their play sheets...

This is impressive just for the feat of being actively ignorant on many different levels using a relatively small number of words.

Fair point about the hoopla. But I don't think the league has always done it. I can see giving the reigning champ a little tougher hill to climb to start the season, and the draft pick isn't really much of an immediate hurdle.

Yeah, it's a weird game to pick....Lots of key Steelers out and on road vs. home team on a huge emotional high, but sporting a possibly-rusty QB. But if he's sharp, Brady can make mediocre WRs look pretty good.

The suckiness of the Red Sox has me extra pumped for the Patriots.

No Stork at Center for Pats. Seems like a small issue, but their OL was horrible to start last season, and they're looking at most likely starting 2 rookies on the interior. Each team is missing their RB, their WR2, and starting Center. Sucks, but at least they're on even footing there.

I'm thinking Antonio Brown singlehandedly wins my FFB game this week thanks to the combo of Bell on the sidelines and Steelers playing from behind.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether to start dion lewis as flex in fantasy?

I feel like he may get a lot of touches ala danny woodhead from years past, especially with blount out.....thoughts?

In theory you are correct, but the Ravens had to play in Denver a few years ago. Something about the Orioles schedule.

Lmao you see that the guy who jacked Geno Smith got a four game suspension? This league is a joke.

Two ways to look at it. He knocked Geno out for 6 weeks and only got 4 games. Or he got 4 games but would have received 0 if Geno didn't have a glass jaw. I think it's kind of BS personally. A locker room fight should be a team discipline not a player one. I doubt he'd be suspended if the Jets kept him on the roster and said Geno and IK had settled their differences.

I am in a couple of leagues. But, who the hell knows with BB and Running Backs. No Cadet tonight, which should maybe clear up a couple touches for Lewis. I thought Lewis looked great in pre-season...definitely hoping he's the Vereen/Woodhead/Faulk for this year.

I can't tell whether it is White or Lewis. I'm starting Brandon Bolden in a DFS tournament.
