Eh. We'll see. Freeman is a culture guy. Moreso than some schematic genius. Now, one could surely argue that he needs a scheme guy at OC, and question whether Parker is that. But there is at least an argument to be made in the other direction, that hiring guys you are confident will help build your culture and values is more important than the Xs and Os. If the story of Rees being forced upon him and whatever friction that might have resulted are true, then this is a logical response to that.
It makes more sense than freaking out because the one guy you actually offered didn't take it, and so falling back to your longtime buddy.
