MF has said numerous times dominating the line on both sides is what he is shooting for. We have seen it before where dominant running can be run out of spread and tempo. Lewis does run a fair bit and loves pulling two lineman on seemingly most plays. I just wasn't sure if MF wants to go that fast. Very few teams do and of the ones that do, I don't think any of them have stout defenses. Time will tell.
Isn't this what a Lincoln Riley offense looks like? At least at Oklahoma. That's what I'd like.

How do we have 30+ pages of discourse and my boy Mike Sanford isn't getting mentioned?

Dude is currently available after getting Colorado a dub last year as HC. The disrespect.
Man's happy to be free according to his wife's twitter. He's a proper nepo baby though (like a lot of coaches)

Agreed and aggressive doesn't have to mean tempo. I should have included that in my previous post
Yep.

Teams that are running fast offenses in 2023, to me, are essentially gimmick offenses. 13 years ago it was schematic. But now, if you have good players and are well coached, you don't need to go fast all the time. I totally get it to run tempo in doses or when you have a personnel/substitution advantage, etc. though.

I think (and assume MF thinks) being aggressive is taking shots down the field, going for it on 4th, attempting sacks and TO's, coming after punts, angling for TD's over FG's, not being predictable with play calls on O or D, etc. But mainly an overall attempt to win games, rather than not lose games.

Mostly, yes. But they can certainly struggle if they simply get off schedule, have to make adjustments, or have to slow down.

Hell, OU could have won a Natty in 2008 (yes, before Riley's time but he was a continuation of that O) if they could simply line up the QB under Center and snap it. They blew multiple chances and even had a TO near the goal line because Bradford getting the snap under center and them executing was too difficult.

I made a post earlier in this thread regarding Candle and I’ll post it again. I’ve been in the locker room with Jason candle, he was my position coach and OC while in college. The reports of being toxic are flat out false. He was by far my favorite coach I’ve ever had. One thing people forget is he is an excellent recruiter. Hell he convinced me to not go to an FCS school and go to a d-3 school.

Oh Christ, are you a Johnnie? I bet you are wearing an SJU sweatshirt right now aren't you. You know you aren't allowed out of the house unless you have something SJU on. It's a Rule. Go Huskies BTW
I’m an ND grad but the rest of my family members are Johnnies and Bennies. We do love Johnnie apparel lol

This is all well and good, but is he a QB guy? I know he "has" coached QBs, but is that really the same thing?
