So wait, VT coach is saying good luck at ND, Coach Joe sends a message thanking VT, but dude hasn't even interviewed yet?

That's a shit ton of confidence

If he never had the rebuilding year at VT we’d think this was a home run. Good hire.

He was just a GA, but that does mean he learned early on under Tressel. He's also very clearly made his bones elsewhere, so it's more of a funny coincidence to me than a "Freeman just can't help but hire dudes he knows."

If anything, I think it's good he's got a rolodex of some very impressive coaching connections. That'll always be good.
The other half of that is that MF was willing to go outside of his Rolodex and go big game hunting with Luke before just relying on his connections.

Do people still interview in person? Genuinely asking. In my industry, in person interviews are long gone. Usually goes phone call than multiple zoom sessions. Would much prefer in-person, but is what it is.

I think Gino is a definite upgrade at QBC.
Rudolph is an upgrade on the version of HH we had.
Parker will be an upgrade as a recruiter over Rees but likely a downgrade as a play caller.
Overall an upgrade.

Sounds like during ND's searches, the only guys that got on campus interviews were ones that got offers - Ludwig, Klein, Parker, Luke, and Rudolph. Some other guys definitely had phone calls or zoom calls like Leftwich and Sean Lewis.

Marcus gets his guy. Glad to have a full staff again.

Fingers crossed that he's the real deal.

I would say yes and No.

You would want to see someone’s body language. And she some of their film they would put together as a coach. Than you would show them your complex so they can see what they are working with.
