His current salary is $1.4M, according to this site: See contract details for LSU offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and QB coach Joe Sloan

I could see the Irish improving on that, but if he's simply going to go to the highest number (which I don't think he will, from all reports), it won't be ND.
He already turned down more than $2.05M from TAMU or so we're led to believe.

If he really wanted to come back to ND and or the Midwest, they can absolutely make this happen.

Don’t feel like reading through ten pages. Are there any names being reported or is everything speculation?

Faulkner turned around a Georgia Tech offense that was quite bad and made it very solid. Also massively improved Haynes King and turned him into a good dual threat QB. I don't think he'd be my top candidate, but if he winds up being the guy I think ND is in a very good place.

There was more complexity for the defense to defend in that one play than we ran all year 😍

There is no possibly. He's highly regarded among NFL players for his relationship building and among front offices for his building of offensive lines and run games.

It's an absolute certainty that he's going to get NFL HC interviews along with an absolute certainty that him going from Dolphins OC to Notre Dame OC is 100% fantasy.

That's the speculation. He wants to be back in South Bend and the Irish want to make it happen.

I hope it does.
Same. The fact he said no to TAMU, hasn't finalized with LSU, has connections to Freeman at UC and Freeman has an external guy in mind gives me hope.

It won’t be a money issue for Denbrock. There are donors that will cut that check just to screw with BK. I can tell you for a fact that Rees got $$$ in no small part because retaining him also meant he didn’t go with Kelly. Kelly thought both Rees and Freeman were gonna come with him.

What do you mean by that? Is he in negotiations to extend his contract? Isn't he only in his 2nd year at LSU??

Riley at Clemson gets $2.05M. Grubb gets $2M. Rees is $1.9M, Ludwig is around $1.85M.

If Denbrock turned down TAMU and was/is negotiating with LSU on an extension after Daniels just winning a Heisman, this is going to cost Russian Oligarch with a concussion snorting mountains of cocaine kind of money.
John Brice said even Parker got $1M+. Surely ND would be willing to pay Denbrock $2-2.5M

He was A&M / Elko’s first choice for OC. LSU was able to fend Aggy off and Denbrock and LSU are finalizing a new 3-year deal. I’m not sure if it has been executed yet.

Money should never be an issue as far as the coaching staff. ND doesn't need to build lazy rivers in the Gug but dollars and cents should not hinder the head coach when it comes to assembling the best coaching staff possible.

It's highly unlikely that Denbrock has actually signed his extension this soon. No respectable agent would let him do that, because you never know what craziness comes down the pipe during this time of year.

I think ND is in a better spot to nab Denbrock from LSU than A&M was. Sure, money is important, but I think Denbrock wants to be in the midwest. He's a midwest guy and he really likes ND. He's spent more time here than any other school and he's pushing 60. And yeah, I can definitely see ND ponying up the money for this, because A) they don't want this to be another public embarrassment like the Ludwig fiasco was, and B) Because f*ck Kelly.

Because the only thing A&M can offer is money. They have lots of it, but really that's all they've got. Notre Dame has a lot to offer, and Denbrock, better than most, knows that firsthand. He also knows Freeman from Cincy, and probably knows that LSU doesn't have another Jayden Daniels running out the tunnel next year.
If we can pay a competitive salary (and I agree we can/should) than it's really a question of A: Does Freeman want Denbrock? And B: Can Denbrock say no to Kelly. That's it.

Let the click-bait posts begin! This is reasonable tho' and pretty much is everyone mentioned here so far from the top (Denbrock) on down (promoting GG)
