I would be thrilled with Denbrock. Familiarity with ND, good offensive resume, recent experience with SEC and his QB just won the Heisman.

He's a very high floor with a very high ceiling. If Golden is sticking around I'm more interested in the high floor.

Hartline is interesting because you know his recruiting will be incredible, but how long would he even be around?
these days, a good oc is prolly gonna be around a couple or so years unless you get a guy who's older. moorhead would be a good choice for stability.

Hartline bringing in the offensive talent with what we've already gathered could be too good to fail honestly.

i think it's Hartline. makes too much sense.
I like the list mentioned above, minus Buster. With that said, the relationship between Freeman and BH will make him 100% a candidate and I'm sure MF will make him say NO. Young OC or not, his recruiting chops would balance the scales.

I’d prefer Denbrock over Hartline. This is not the time to have another first year OC/play caller.

Agreed. Nothing I saw from OSU's offense this past season particularly wow'd me, with the exception of some ridiculous plays from MHJr. That LSU offense was a machine.

I mean, Denbrock just developed Jayden Daniels into a Heisman winner and had the #1 overall offense in college football last year, in terms of total yards.

We would be upset with that?
Yes, I would.

Parker had great stats too (top 10 yards per play)

Parker is basically Charley Molnar in this situation. I’d bet money that Freeman told him to look for another opportunity. In the meantime Freeman covered for his buddy. Wouldn’t surprise me if the new OC already has a deal in principle.

Hartline might end up being great. But, with the talent we have returning/coming in the next few years and the playoff expanding to 12 teams I don't think this is the time to be giving the car keys to another first time coordinator. Give me experience.

As I said in the other thread, he wouldn't be my number #1, maybe partly because I haven't given much thought to who would be. But, I'd be very excited about him developing next years offense.

People also tend to forget that he was very good with WR development during his time at ND. He's just an all around very good coach.

He's also 59 years old. I'm not sure he's getting a head coaching job anywhere in the P5, so we could see him here for 4-5 years if he comes back.

Coaches TEs. Had a great offense last year. Previously coached at ND, and previously coached with Freeman. It makes sense.

Difference is Denbrock's offense did it against the best competition last year.

In the loss to Bama, LSU still put up 475 yards. Their lowest output in terms of points was against FSU Week 1, and they still put up 460 against a very good defense.

LSU's offense was incredible last year. I can't believe people would actually have a problem with Denbrock, LOL.

If Snot Nose Weis jr is hired I quit. Obviously Lane is the offensive guy there. CW jr is the errand boy.

Denbrock has a long track record of developing talent going back to his first stint with ND. Not saying he’s the best OC in the country but you could certainly do worse.
?? We could have done worse than Parker, too. That is weak.

Now that BK is gone, the leadership on th 2016 staff should be a "never again". Denbrock was an integral part of what led to 2016.

No thanks.
