Can someone explain why it’s not important to have this deal done by now? Don’t they have to make uniforms for the season, do all the legal work, and restock the bookstore? I’m guessing it’s not predicated on this football season?

The UA deal expires next spring so there’s no rush

But left the one on the sleeve of the shirt
Mabrey isn't on our team anymore.

People need to understand this is pretty basic stuff for apparel contracts. You aren't supposed to wear the competing brands during university sponsored stuff. They want to wear Nike stuff out when they go to a WNBA game? Fine. But as soon as a picture is going on a ND twitter account, all Nike, Adidas, Puma, etc. logos need to be gone from our athletes.

Yea, I know guys who played relatively small time college baseball and it wasn't uncommon to get punished for wearing "the wrong" undershirt at the after game press conference.

Oh completely get it, but just don't post the picture.

My point was, clearly, Nike is the brand that is popular with kids these days and would be a huge plus in recruiting. But, ND LOVES to make things difficult on themselves for no particular reason.

I’m going to withhold full judgement until we get clarification on whether or not there actually is an NIL piece included. If so, then I’m okay with it. Also, it’s the biggest deal in all of college sports, which does say something.

Wasn’t Ohio States Nike deal like 15 for 250? And UCLA had a big one also for 15. There is no way 10 for 10 can be considered biggest deal.

If there's nothing significant regarding NIL....smh. That's the only thing that would make it a smart move. Otherwise, it's just sticking with a sinking brand that's not as popular or on the same quality level as Nike.

Aren’t you excited to see the athletic program get slightly more money?

I actually like Under Armour, but this doesn't really make sense. We must be missing something, because all of Ohio State, Texas, and Michigan are above the 100/10 numbers. Also, in the article Dellenger says its close to the range of those other deals. If its close, I don't really get why we go with the less popular option, unless we weren't getting the same type of offer from Nike as those schools got.

Even if there is an NIL component are we expecting it to be publicly acknowledged?

Remember our last deal was also the "richest" then a couple years later UA signs UCLA to a way larger contract.
