After exploring the various talking heads for a few weeks, a few things have become clear:

- Tim, Tim & Pete are the most polished and professional, even if they are not always first to the scoop. Imo, it’s the best product.

- Driskell is a hack as a journalist and “publisher”, as he refers to himself. Really wish he would just stick to film analysis. Incredibly thin-skinned. Would like to see Vince D. leave that outfit and join II in some capacity— he’s a good dude.

- Singer is ok. But, when I watch him or listen to him it just seems like there are too many chefs in the kitchen of ND football media. Need to thin the herd.

- I like Mike Frank, also seems like a decent dude. Not the most polished, but I feel like that is due more to Matt Freeman —he’s got this angsty millennial vibe that is very off putting.

End of the day — for me, Irish Illustrated is the most consumable on the regular. The others just seem like hangers on, but I’ll tune in from time to time.

I like Pete Sampson as a writer, little dry on podcast.
ISD has a great show called hit & hustle with Jamie Uyeyama
Driskell aka “the publisher” puts out a lot of content, seems to have some technical knowledge of the game but you to wade through his ego
Singer seems laid back. Like his show with Mike Goolsby
Loy always seemed to change his tune too much for me

I like Ryan Roberts on IB. He seems to put in a lot of work and is practically carrying IB.

Mike Frank is why I can’t listen to the majority of ISD stuff.
When it’s just Jamie & Gregg on the Hit and Hustle, I will listen, for example.
Anytime I turn on ISD and hear Mike Frank’s voice I immediately turn it off.

I expect it'd result in remarkable growth for both but I don't know if they have the self-awareness to recognize it. I'm not saying this as a hater, just from the number of posts on here. If ours is a representative sample, with a heavier weight towards the 20-50 crowd because #forums/#technology/#notnewtechnology then there are enough people that complain about them that I'd take a serious look at trying a different approach to generate more growth in my company (if I were them).

Now I can picture the excuse for why they won't do it, something about love of the game, they built it, then can do what they want, it's their passion, it's unfair to them to not be a part, yada, yada, yada.

I don’t Mike Frank all that well, but agree on Driskell. He seems to get a lot of the same negative feedback — essentially, “great analyst, but an obnoxious, arrogant blowhard” — but just charges ahead unaware that he is alienating his base customers. To me it’s ironic, because he rails on Kelly for the same shortcomings. All that said, kudos to them for doing what the love.

He just pretty much said he wasnt going to post any more dancing meme's because people steal the information and post it on twitter and Irishenvy. He would post dancing Gifs when a prospect gave a silent. So now I am paying IB to not get any intel?

It was a scam, and an obvious one - I actually think that’s why he stopped. He got called out on it. He would claim there was a “silent commit”, give no other intel, then come clean after the commit was public. It was never real intel to begin with, lol.
