Saturday, Allen and Company stifled Michigan. Allen had a career high 17 pts. loyd had 14 pts for her 58th consecutive Double figure scoring game. Allen is one that can help take the load off of Loyd with Turner out. She needs to take a few more shots a game.

Westbeld had a big game with 13 pts, 8 Rebs. ND out scored Michigan in the paint 48-24.

McGraw expects Turner back next month when the ACC schedule begins.

People constantly self-focus so obsessively that they complain about things not aimed at them, nor anything specifically involving their histories. The girls did a good thing in terms of what we college profs try to teach them: they thought about their world and decided to make a statement about something currently going on in it. They can't know every possible thing, whether excessively "personal" to some individual or merely contrafactual to whatever they're speaking out about.

Adults are at fault here if anyone is. Adults allegedly have grown up sufficiently to understand that everything has multidimensional context, and they should cut the girls some slack. The girls obviously neither wanted to make a GENERIC statement against law enforcement professionals everywhere, nor to give unnecessary grief to people who have issues that they knew nothing about, and were unlikely to have known about.

Like Swarbrick, and doubtless Coach too, I'm proud of our young ladies for showing that they are growing into adults and not bubble-headed no-opinion bimbos. As a very wise man said: he who finds fault in everything, finds himself.

Behind So Car, CT, TX, and A&M. ND lost a couple of votes to A&M due to the 1 pt OT win against Depaul. A&M has beat Depaul last month by 8.

With a heathly Turner ND would have beaten Depaul comfortably and would have been competitve against CT.
