Have at it.

Expectations are low...

Expectations are low...

And by low you mean there are no expectations.

[irishu]

Brought in a solid class of freshmen. Any word on how they’ve looked?

[sfk324]

Looks like some form of uniform announcement coming tomorrow

[FightingIrishLover7]

I'm ready to rock! (maybe!)

[PolishDomer]

We look good on paper

[PolishDomer]

All joking aside, I do believe that Shrews is recruiting at a better rate than Brey did, especially comparing to his last 5 years. Brey just leaving the cardboard bare really set us back a few years. I hope there is a better turnaround this year compared to years past.

Trying to think of something involving scissors, but I came up empty.

Is this a thread for the men's team, the women's team, or both? I hope they get separate threads.

[ab2cmiller]

Do people think that only Mod's can create threads????

[Henges24]

I think Shrews got a good one in Towt. Hope he’s a bully.

[NDPhilly]

I would enjoy having a competitive team this year

I thought we were talking about freshman. 🤷‍♂️

Some highlights of Towt. Great rebounder. Very good assist guy for a forward. Kind of an awkward looking mid-range floater, but it seems to work for him. Looking at his stats, he is a brutal free throw shooter.

NDs version of Dennis Rodman

It’s sad my hope is that they can be in the bubble conversation come March as exceeding my expectations. I do think they were a bit snake bitten last year between injury, poor defensive coaching, and late blown leads (believe it was 8 games they led or tied with under 3 minutes to go).

Hopefully Towt gives them a good defensive boost and Harrelson can have a Wesley like impact

[stpeteirish]

Towt’s kind of a unicorn. 6’8 white guy who is a fantastic rebounder. Self made player apparently. Had to walk on at Northern Arizona after underwhelming high school career who gradually got playing time. Led nation in rebounding last year.
Wonder if we’ll play him with Njie or instead of.

[MacIrish75]

I guess you could say our 6’8 transfer from NAU is…highly…Towted.

Help a colorblind mofo out, is that a dark navy blue or black?

[arrowryan]

Those are fucking terrible

[MPClinton22]

Basketball needs to appeal to the local community way more than football - so for that reason I honestly don't mind it. They need South Bend to buy in as ND being their local team

Not wrong. People aren't flying in and driving 10 hours to see a game at the Joyce Center on a Thursday against Wake in January.
