11-4 final. Men's sports had a bad week, except for Baseball. Hockey, Lacrosse and Basketball all lost.

This x100. Contrary to belief, Notre Dame is situated very well to have continued baseball success. Now we’re not talking SEC/Texas school level, but sustained success being Top 5 of ACC and being a regular in the NCAA tournament. It’s tough to do north of the Mason Dixon, but I think they could get to the Louisville level of consistency.

Cole Kmet’s dad (middle son is a junior on team) believes Link is the guy to have the program take off to new heights. There was a huge fundraising campaign to keep Link last year. He mentioned that ND could realistically stick to focusing recruiting the Chicago Catholic league and attain the success mentioned above. That conference has major talent that heads to the SEC/ACC and MLB draft. Getting better facilities and making the CWS this year would instantly make them one of the top attraction for those type of kids that are pretty much a fit for ND off the jump.

I don't really follow much, but it seems Swarbrick hit a homerun with Link Jarrett. Hopefully they can fend off southern schools that will surely be calling for him.

A really nice run for the boys as of late; 9 straight wins, with a 14-5 shellacking of scUM yesterday. They swept #5 FSU last week as well. Back to #10 in the country.

watching our irish right now against Duke and our starting pitcher is having a horrible day as he can't buy a strike as we are down 6-0 in the 3rd. gonna be double digit runs for Duke if we don't make a pitching change

15-5 final. Seven runs in the 8th for Duke vs little used pitchers. But Duke hammered some of the regular middle inning guys tonight. Still can win the series with our #1 and #2 starters (I presume) going Fri and Sat.

Yup. Not sure if it was the case in Duke vs ND but I know down south when an SEC school plays a smaller in-state school in the middle of the week, it’s not unheard of for the smaller school to spring the upset. It’s usually b/c the P5 school is throwing their typical mid-week guy or even giving a young starter an audition whereas their opponent is throwing their ace (usually reserved for weekend games) b/c, like you said; this is their ”World Series”. Tennessee State recently did this to #1 Tennessee. I wached Arkansas-Little Rock blow out Arkansas a few years back. That same UA team went to CWS. It happens.

It's an awesome experience. Highly recommend if you can get assigned seating pay the extra money.

You can do GA for the earlier week games during the morning/day, but once work gets out it's a massive GA line to get in and they always oversell GA tickets so not everyone gets to go in. Standing room only and multiple rows of people deep.

Lost to Duke again tonight 4-3 in 11 innings. Nothing but front line pitching tonight, Bertrand, Rao, and Tyrell.

Find a way today to get a win. Duke has actually pitched pretty well this series, especially in late innings. Tough park to go deep in, so find some gaps, run the bases well and play some small ball if necessary.
