The prospect of seeing a defense that is simple and yet effective makes me feel both envious and aroused.

I call it a jealousy boner.

Is Stanford running the "Notre Dame" defense? They haven't stopped Washington yet. Almost every play has been for positive yardage, unless it's an incomplete pass.

Washington has more sacks in 2 quarters then we have in 4 games. Unbelievable!

1. We shouldn't even try to run the ball on Stanford. Their secondary can't cover if they don't get pressure. Kizer could have a big day.

2. Please God let's get Stanford in some 3rd-and-long situations and see Daelin Hayes pinning his ears back on these OT's. It would be a good chance to see what the young dude can do.

How long are the Stanford CBs out for? Their top two guys are out right now.

Yup Stanford pulling their best "Notre Dame" let a punt hit their player in the back. Washington recovers after Stanford finally held them on defense.

I don't know who the D coordinator for UDub is but I wouldn't complain if he was in SB.

And certain people laughed openly in my face when I said watch out for Washington to run the table and make the playoffs. Of course they were the same people agreeing with me that the Irish would go 11-1/10-2. lol

Not sure, but I was speaking more about the lack of pressure killing their secondary. They literally look like ND right now. D-line not even threatening Browning when he drops back.

Pete Kwiatkowski is the D-Coordinator who has been with Petersen since he was in Boise.

The rising star on that staff is Jimmy Lake who is the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach, he was promoted to co-coordinator this past year.

Stanford's passing game is straight dookie. They came into the night like 122nd in the nation, and this game hasn't helped anything.

I guess on the 15th we'll see what happens when a stoppable force meets a movable object.

Earlier today I searched Stanford articles from the past week trying to determine the extent of injuries to both their starting CBs Meeks and Holder, their starting RG Brandon Fanaika, starting TE Greg Taboada, and backup WR Francis Owusu.

The only info on type of injury I could find was Owusu is out with a concussion.

I did one other item which might explain their OLine problems tonight

Stanford flipped offensive tackles, moving Casey Tucker to the right side and A.T. Hall to the left.

Stanford coach Shaw upset about no targeting call

I have no idea how important Fanaika is to their OLine performance but they have one backup and the tackles switched.

Holly just commented that the two starting CBs are "week to week".

Two weeks until we meet.

Thank you UW for that last Over making TD cutting the loses a tad. I thought the scoring was done for the night.

I expected Stanford to have some difficulty tonight considering their injuries but not like this. While Stanford had played the 6th toughest schedule to date, UW had played a very weak 145th toughest schedule.

... but not much.

Congrats to tko and jspags10pg for the correct choice.

Several talking heads early today called Stanford as ripe for upset. Despite the loses I though their depth would prevail. Wow. They got beat in the trenches on both sides.

Despite the lopsided score I'm not sold. They've played a very weak schedule (145th Sagarin) to date and Stanford injuries exposed them as has ND's injuries (secondary) and under performing OLine and DLine.

Did Herm say no?

Petrino makes $4.3 mill with a $10 mill buyout.

Peterson makes $3.4 with raise to $4 mil in 2018-20 with a $2.5 mill buyout.

I think Tom Herman is a good coach, but has he proved himself enough?

I know he's the rumored guy.

Petrino is so good but has a marred background.

Peterson is amazing. I've been enamored with him since Boise St.

If Washington continues it'll show his program building is no fluke.

I've never been enamored with Boise St. They've won a couple of big games but they play a weak schedule year in and year out.

Who from BSU has succeeded after leaving there?

Nutt had some good seasons and ARK and then it turned to crap. Did the same thing at Miss.

Koetter went to ASU and won a little than half his games.

Hawkins went to Colorado and won less than 1/3 of his games.

Peterson's doing a little better than Sark.
