So does MSU get away with mugging WR's because they do it so often that you can't call it all the time or is it because they choose not to see it. It's so aggressive it's ridiculous. They can't cover, they just mug.

Bama's DBs have gotten away with some too. Refs not calling much.

Good defensive battle. Neither team can move the ball on the ground much. Coker's having a good night though and it looks like we'll be playing in the championship game.

Cyrus was a recruit I wanted real bad out of high school. He never gave Notre dame a real look.

This game is over. As we all thought MSU is not a good team.

I love how people were sweating OU and MSU going into the playoffs. When in reality we all knew both were fraud teams. Same with Iowa.

Stanford, OSU and ND are better teams than the teams mentioned above. Would be interesting to see how an eight team playoff would unfold.

I don't know that they were fraud teams so much as they were flawed teams. Especially MSU. And given three weeks to prepare, a good coach with a good team can beat a flawed team. But over the course of the season a flawed team in a not-very-deep conference can put together a pretty good resume, one that appears deserving of a playoff spot.

I'd agree that Stanford, Ohio State and Notre Dame are more complete teams than MSU or Oklahoma or Iowa. I'd probably pick them all to win head-to-head in a bowl game. But given the results of the regular season - which ought to count for something - it's hard to argue any of them were more deserving of a playoff spot, regardless of what happened today.

At what point does this game become worse than when Alabama beat us three years ago?

Also, the last time we played Bama it didn't go much differently than this.
