I understand what you guys are saying but a throat slash is one of around five things that EVERYONE knows not to do. It's not even at the refs discretion, it is specially listed as something you MUST throw a flag for.

Plus a lot of times they are just wrong. Last night the receiver from OK did the superman motion and got penalized for a throat slash.....wtf?

Thats obviously the solution to avoid the penalty. But its dumb for that to be a penalty in the first place.
