No #1, #2 or #3 seeds in the final four. The games yesterday were great. Both Creighton and Texas seemed in control and all of a sudden! One of the most entertaining tournaments ever.

The second half of SDSU and Creighton may have set shooting back several decades. Quite an ending at least.

That was an incredibly shitty call to end what was a great game between Creighton and SDSU.

I didn’t watch the entire game, but it sounds like the refs let the guys play until the final second. Then they decided they had to put their fingerprints on the final result.

The call at the end overshadowed the horrendous combined shooting performance in the second half. It was awful. 47-121 in the game combined. 5-30 from three point line combined.

They called 11 personal fouls on each team. I didn't see the foul happen live and thought regulation had ended. I was sad for the world that we would have to endure overtime and watch these two teams throw up more bricks for another five minutes. When they showed the replay, by definition, it was a foul. I am inclined to think those referees wanted to get the hell out of there and not watch anymore of what they saw in the second half.

Everyone is talking about the last foul call in the SDSU/Creighton game, but what I have only observed one site mention was Creighton using the foul they had to give with ten seconds. This play eliminated the 3+ second time differential between the game and shot clock giving SDSU the final shot instead of what would have been Creighton's last shot chance.

Did the media even question the coach after the game? I heard the player thought the foul would send SDSU to the line which still doesn't make sense in a tie game.

This play should go down with the Chris Webber time out call, yet no one is discussing it. What am I missing?

I actually got into the tourney a bit for the first time in years this year (aside from ND games),… but I have to say this final four doesn’t grab me at all,… kid of sucks given the tourney itself. Just me,…

Yeah, I was watching the game with my dad and said that out loud. I didn't understand the strategy or mindset behind it.

SDSU does a great job of dictating how a game is going to be played. They really do have that going for them more than anything. Alabama sees absolutely nothing like them in the SEC in terms of physicality and scrap. Big reason why SDSU bounced them.

I was happy for whoever moved on, but he had him at the hip. I'm in the camp that a foul is a foul and should be called regardless of the time left in a game.

I have watched a lot of SDSU over the years and told people at the start of the tournament if the Aztecs figure out how to shoot, they have a Final Four team. Well, they made it without figuring out how to shoot yet. As you said, they know how to dictate a game and have the size and length to do it. Their style wears on teams and gets offenses out of rhythms. Not a coincidence they forced Furman to their lowest point total of the season (52) by thirteen points, Creighton to their lowest point total of any half all season (23) and forced Bama into a horrendous 11% from beyond the arc.

Amazing what putting a hand in the face, keeping a body on someone and not allowing them to get between that body and the basket does!

That was a clear foul on Creighton. It’s a shitty way to end the game, but the rules don’t change just because time is running out.

The other tournament has been fun to watch too. Iowa had a big crowd in Seattle last night for this performance.

She's been nothing short of amazing so far. Fingers crossed that South Carolina wins because I think South Carolina vs Iowa is going to break all kinds of viewership records. The POTY talk alone is going to be fun.

The fact that people were talking on social media yesterday about the trash talking in the championship game shows how far the women's game has come. I really enjoyed watching the game yesterday. Going in, I knew who Clark was. That was it.

Kim Mulkey's outfits and her Pete Carroll ability to be ten feet out on the court without getting a technical was also rather fun.

Outside of the ND final four and championship game, the only woman's games I've watched is the Iowa vs Louisville, S. Carolina, and LSU games. I'm not going to commit to watching more going forward, but it is entertaining when played at the higher levels.

I was watching Bowling Green progress through the NIT until they got knocked out, and I watched all of ND's tournament games along with the Final Four. Have to say I was entertained for the most part. It has to be two good teams like anything else, though, you're right.

There were beefs with Louisville and Texas, Louisville and Iowa, Iowa and South Carolina, then obviously yesterday. I thought it was great. I'm getting tired of sanitized sports. Give me trash talk, give me rivalries that are intense, give me uncomfortable white Boomers in Middle America.

I don't think I've ever sat down to watch a women's college game. But my school's team was horrible when I was in college. Went to plenty of ladies games in high school. It can be fun.

I dated the starting point guard of the ladies’ team in college for a good while,… still couldn’t watch it. Obviously that relationship fell apart,…

Bob Knight hospitalized since Friday. His wife has sent a letter to former players asking for prayers.

If you're watching the women's game through the prism of the men's game, then you won't be entertained. I've watched a lot of women's basketball and if you're watching for the competitiveness it's pretty entertaining. To me the ball handling is the most obvious difference between the two. I would like for them to do away with the four quarters to give it a little more continuity.

Prayers for Coach Knight.

As for the game, they were the best team in March wire to wire. Double digit victories, relentless offense and defense. Very well coached. Hopefully Danny Hurley stays put.

One of the most impressive tournaments by UConn of any champion. Only one I can remember in recent memory that was stronger was Villanova's in 2018.

I spent most of the time wondering to myself how they lost 8 games this season. They absolutely trashed Alabama in late November and didn't lose their first game until December 31st to Xavier. Had a tough January but really took the stretch by the scruff of the neck and here we are.

I had Iona beating them in my bracket. LOL.

I too had Iona beating them lol. I will never understand how UConn is consistently good at basketball.

Just hire the right coaches. And the location is pretty good, between NYC and Boston. Mansfield itself is a farm town.

I can't think of another team, or program in all of sports that is more blah and uninteresting to me than UCONN. It's strange, if they are on CFB Saturdays, unless they are playing ND, it's a hard pass 100%. If it's CBB it's the same,... the colors, program, mascot idk what exactly. That school just turns me off instantly. Always has,... obviously a me thing but no joke... I see them on TV and I immediately reach for the remote.

Their 1999 men's basketball team was awesome. They did the world a service by beating both Ohio State and Duke in the Final Four. They were 34-2 and I believe the only two games they lost were at home in regular season conference games.

I could give a flying shit about their football team but the men's hoops program has been pretty solid under multiple coaches.

As for Geno and the women's team, I enjoy watching them get beat by just about anyone.
