So now coaches need to explain their distribution channels and market exposure in various big market areas? Bad idea IMO. USC will thrive tho

Who is going to police this shat? NCAA? Dude rolls up in a $100K car...was it the bagman or jersey sales. Do they still get the $200K free ride for school? Not sure what the unintended consequences will be...but there is sure to be a bunch. I don't like that it's come to this but here we are.

Without reading about this... what would stop college player from being like a politician and getting paid 300,000 for a speaking appearance that never happens?

Boosters can circumvent money to the player and call it whatever they want, couldn’t they... or no?

This is what I was referring to in my post. I buy (whatever is for sale) once at a cost of $50. Alabama bagman owns a company and buys (whatever is for sale) 50 times at a cost of $50. Or, gives employees $50 so each can buy one.

Wonder if schools in states with no state tax will have a bigger pull on kids

Northeast football would drop off the map.

"What do you mean I owe taxes?

Coach said all of that was taken care of

I gotta get that financial development coach on the phone.

I didn't come here to play taxes!"

What does it matter, the NCAA doesn't do anything about this stuff now anyways. Personally, I'm for allowing players to make money in this way. I watched Saban pimping Aflec on a commercial the other day, yet players have no ability to do the same? Seems anti free market to me.

One thing that will be interesting and why guys like Saban and Dabo don't want money involved, these coaches have all the power right now. It's going to be tougher to coach kids who have more options whether they have to play or not. I can see more stud Sophomores sitting out or Juniors shutting their season down, especially if they are allowed to get endorsements or money from an agent. Could be good for ND, as Kelly doesn't like recruiting those elite kids anyway.

Interested to see how this all plays out going forward. But for the NCAA and schools to make it work I would think it would have to pool money from say EA sports and distribute it amongst all players in football and basketball. The signing of autographs could be kept by the individual. The reason I say the should pool the money is because I honestly could see a situation where the star QB at said school is getting paid let's say $100,00 for his likeness. The OL is not going to get that kinda of money. Jealously has a way of making people pay for what others think is unfair if you get my drift.

Everyone make the same, regardless of value? Sounds like a utopia. Didn't know you were an Irish fan, Bernie.

I kid, I kid.

Not a Bernie fan at all. Can just see a lot of pettiness amongst 19 to 22 year olds all trying to make that $$$$$`

I can see a Starting QB get injured and the back up coming in demanding the same compensation to continue playing
