NBA sucks. Even in close games with epic shots I feel little to no emotion. NHL playoffs > NBA playoffs.

Durant is in BEAST MODE. Thunder (my horse) storming back to take the momentary lead. Great game.

As a Laker fan, I've said all year that the Thunder scare the crap out of me. Too young and athletic, two elite scorers, and now an enforcer/rebounder/screen setter in Perkins (can't stand that baby). I was so happy when the Lakers stopped winning and they didn't get the 1 seed. Assuming we get past the Hornets, we don't have to play OKC until the 3rd should we make it (and we will definitely handle Dallas if it comes to it)...

This is really my first year paying attention to hockey. I grew up on basketball, and where I grew up you were either a basketball person or a hockey person. The BOS/MTL series is really the first hockey series I've ever followed closely, and I have to admit: it was awesome. The intensity is crazy. I'll still take basketball as a sport, but sudden death OT in a game 7 is as intense of a thing as there is in sports.

Add nerve-racking, heart-wrenching, and ultimately devastating if your team loses. But yes, every second of it is AWESOME.

The Heat look very formidable right now. Lebron and Wade look like they have really found the way to coexist and flourish.

End of an era in Beantown? If so, got to tip the cap to that group, especially KG. He is an absolute warrior, and I am glad he at least got 1 ring.

Very pumped for this Thunder / Griz Game 5.

I'm a huge OKC fan. But still no icon available for my page. Lets get that looked into. I mean how can you not have the next NBA champs icon available? lol

Boston screwed themselves when they traded Perkins. No other center on Boston brings what he did. It's to bad cause I wanted the celtics to win another. Pretty much only for KG cause he's my favorite NBA player

I agree with you. They were banking on the O'Neals, Shaq and Jermaine, being healthy and effective in the postseason. Can't hedge your entire season on old centers though - we just saw what happens when you do. Hope the Bulls can knock them off, but I am not optimistic about that.

Maybe not the end of an era:

Doc on next year: "I'm leaning heavily towards coming back...I'm a Celtic"

I thought he'd take a break. Just so he could watch his son chuck up 25+ shots a game at dook next year

I thought so too. Would work out well if he wanted to take a year off then pick a team to coach for in 2 years - possibly even his son's team (although that could create some problems in itself). Maybe he sees one last run with the C's if they can make a couple personal adjustments. I don't think it's out of the question, but every Eastern Conference bid will go through Miami for the next 5 years IMO.

The way People Who Know Things have talked about it, I thought Doc's departure was a fait accompli. Maybe he thinks they have another run left in them. I'm not as convinced. I feel like this was this group's Alamo.

He may not have much of a choice, though. I think there is a legit chance there is no NBA next year.

Pumped for the Thunder v. Mavs game tonight. Should be another great series.

NBA draft lottery is tonight as well. Good luck to the Cavs, they deserve the pick.

Worked out well for the Celtics if you remember. They were supposed to get the 2nd pick, and were all set to take Durant. They fell to #5 and make the KG and Ray Allen trades and the rest is history. They are the exception though, of course. I think there are only a couple possible great players in the draft - as a whole it is really, really weak.

Yeah true, but this years draft is so weak. Next year though is going to be loaded

Irving, Kanter, and Williams are the only prospects I'd really want. Maybe Knight, Singleton, Harris and Leonard. As a Knick fan, I hope we get a big man / rebounder like Faried, or a quality PG.

That's who I keep hearing the Knicks are gonna draft. We shall see. I'll say this it sure is nice not seeing any UNC player in the draft

Rooting for Cleveland to get the top pick. That would be sweet for them, #1 and 4.

If Dirk played in Boston, LA, New York the guy would be a god. He's just so good
