Ill be mad enough if the Bears don't take the best OL available, but if they took Ogletree over Teo, that may push me over the edge.

I'd be shocked if Sherif Floyd is available at 10.

His stock seems to have taken off recently, but I think it'll cool down shortly unless he has a sick combine. As of now I agree, but I think by draft time #10 will be a nice landing spot for him.

I want Star Lotulelei or Shariff Floyd for NT. Wouldn't be mad with Mingo or Moore as OLBs

I know it's difficult to put these things together, but I don't believe the Packers would draft an ILB in the first round if Olgetree and Teo were both already taken. I think they might take Lacey or an OL, even though you are correct that ILB is a need.

If the Giants pass on Te'o at 19..grrr. They just recently released Michael Boley and basically need a lot of LB help. They haven't had too much success drafting CB's in the 1st round lately but tend to lean towards best available player on their board

Would love to see Manti play for the G'Men, but the NY press would crucify the poor kid. Think Tebow, only worse.

I'll also be very upset if they pass. Especially because our philosophy is to take the best player available (within reason). He would definitely be the best player available ("BPA" --you heard it here first) at 19

At 19? He absolutely would be BPA; unless we see an Aaron Rodgers/Brady Quinn like drop from a highly talked about name.

I'm curious to see how Reese puts the roster together and with Freeney expressing interest, I wouldn't mind seeing him replace Osi. Jake Long is another guy I'd take a look at.

If the Jets pass on Moore, Jordan or Jones (they need a OLB that can get to the qb) for another wr project that catches with his body I'll kick my tv off the wall.

To'e seems to be on the downward as of late. How much of that will be changed by a good combine is up for debate. I'm sure non-Notre Dame fans would see no problem with Te'o falling to 21 at this point in the draft process. I try not to let my Irish ties get in the way of my mocks.

I pray we don't take Jarvis Jones, I would be very happy with Deon Jordan.

Hoping for Lacy in the 2nd but that's a pipe dream

Btw, I read a Steelers board now and then and they really don't want Teo. Oh well

Jarvis Jones does seem pigeonholed into a 3-4. Too small for 4-3 DE and untested in 4-3 OLB.

I wouldn't be surprised if Teo goes mid round two. Teams could be putting a lot of stock in the championship game and I don't blame them.

If Te'o and Eifert are available at the 20 spot, I still want the Bears to do the logical thing and pick the best OL, but damn what a gnawing dilemma.

*I would like to get a Te'o or Eifert Bears jersey

The championship game did hurt Manti's stock quite a bit, and I think teams realize they would be getting more of an AJ Hawk than a Patrick Willis. No shame in that.

What the Bears do in Free Agency will determine who they go for in the draft. Personally, I think the Bears should adress the O line during Free Agency then go after LB or TE in the first. Would love to see the Bears take somebody like Kenny Still in the 2nd or if he drops to the 4th round.

Praying that the Broncos let Clady go. Longshot but i'm praying.

Like Vag McCaskey will open her coin purse for an elite blocker. Hell, I bet her purse has 7 pennies in it and an unused tampon from 1968.

anyone here have an "espn insider" account?
would love to be updated on kiper and mchays mocks as we go thru next couple months.

jarvis jones' spinal stenosis (reason USC didnt clear him and he transferred to UGA) could really impact his draft position.

random draft thoughts:
do we think manti will wear #55 in the league if he can?

if i'm a GM i take a flyer on the honey badger early in round 2

does this draft seem awfully "thin" at the top to you guys? it does to me. ton of guys that could go middle to late first all the way to middle late second IMO.

no clear cut "hundred percenters"...lots of guys with great upside but no "sure things" IMO

I wouldn't, even without the character issues. He wouldn't tempt me until around round 4.

i hear you. and your probably spot on.

my thought is as long as he doesnt get drafted by the saints and gets the hell out of the bayou, he has the chance to be the steal of the draft...remember how randy moss fell in minnys lap late 1st round over the weed thing/some personal issues.
i think same applies here to honey badger. if your gonna roll the dice-the talent is there.
its a league half full of criminals and pot smokers anyway...:)

Same perception here, except I was thinking 5th.. but I typically do not hold anyone involved with LSU, or the state of Louisiana in high regard; far from it.

Guys a bum and not athletic enough for the league. A lot of his picks in 2011 were the product of opportunism. Good on him for making those plays happen, but that doesn't change the fact he's not going to be a star in the NFL.

Biggest bust since fellow LSU prospect JaMarcus "Purple Drank" Russell.

Julius Peppers? Jay Cutler? Brandon Marshall? Hey, the McCaskey's CAN be cheap, but I think they've done pretty well these past few years.

Alex Smith has been traded to unknown team. Can't wait to see which team the #49ers duped into thinking Smith is actually good

JasonLaCanfora: The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. Can't be finalized til league year begins 3/12

JasonLaCanfora: so it's not official, both clubs view it at as it's effectively done. I do not know the other team. KC and JAX are 2 teams that make sense

The Bears seem to like buying weapons without fortifying the base. I think Te'o is falling faster after a weak 40 time. And I've heard that the Browns did not trade for Alex Smith, but thats not a for sure thing.

I agree they have shown some friskiness the last few off-seasons, but I will continue to be critical until it becomes an every year priority to field the best possible team they can.
