With all this surrounding Pryor is there even a chance that they escape with anything less what USC was hit with?
The only thing I can think of above USC would be the death penalty.

The NCAA violations were discovered when the name of the local memorabilia dealer, Dennis Talbott, was seen on checks Pryor was depositing in his personal bank account.

Midway through the 2010 football season, Talbott was ordered by Ohio State officials to completely disassociate himself from the program. That indicates that administrative members of the OSU athletic department knew of Pryor’s activities involving Talbott long before the NCAA recently discovered the payments from Talbott to the former Buckeye quarterback.

Just when I thought OSU would get past this all relatively unscathed... Same thing happened with car dealer that was going to games. OSU told the guy to cut contact with the team. Not good at all for them.

If this stuff is true, I don't see how they don't get hammered. If someone at OSU did know about the payments and all they did was tell the guy to stay away, LOIC for sure. Don't most compliance offices ask for bank account information so they can look into odd activity?

How many similarities are there between Pryor and Clarett? Both fail to get a degree, accept illegal benefits, leave a trail of ruin, fail to make it in the NFL (this is a projection for Pryor on my part, but I feel quite confident), are at the heart of an NCAA investigation and so on. Feel free to add to the list. What are the chances Pryor ends up doing jail time somewhere down the road? This guy is just bad news.

The death penalty buzz is certainly in the air. Or at least in the interweb. osu may just have taken it too far. The ncaa is somewhat acting like they are being serious now. This may have just pushed them over the edge... How many vote for death penalty? Or is that too harsh?

Screw the too harsh stuff. If they are deemed as cheats give them the death penalty. But, if any school should be given the Death Penalty, it should be UNC. The assistant coach was up to his neck in it.
For the most part, TatU's stuff was an entitlement minded kid, exploited by outside people. Though. Tressel's part is inexcusable.

Latest news is that both the AD, Smith, and the Compliance Officer, Archie, got free cars from local dealers. For Smith, it was part of his contract. For Archie, who monitors compliance w.r.t the 50 cars bought by players and family, he got it from a local dealer, who received free season tickets.
