I agree. I think GMs will take on the roll of overseeing the program in terms of evaluations and analysis. That could be high schoolers, the portal, opponent research (legally, *cough*fuckyoumichigan*cough), etc. I also see it as a confidant for the HC in terms of program outlook, growth, and management --> staffing, public relations, admin relations, NIL fundraising and budgetting, etc. ND, especially, is a massive brand and in the past, most of the "extra duties" have fallen on the head coach which we all know take time away from running his program. BK was known to be pretty good at this. But what if someone like MF had help so he could focus on other things? That's what I see of a GM. I could be dead wrong though, I'm just spittballing.
