Paul McCartney, ok i dont really mean fuck him, but he was a bigger contributer to The Beatles breaking up than Yoko was. Why do you think he waited for George Harrison to die before he remixed Let It Be. He Hated that album, but George and John wanted to work with Phil Spector

EDIT: I will say though, that he was relevant post 80's. He did the Free Willy soundtrack and had a couple huge hits. The Super Bowl that he performed at in the 90's was the only Super Bowl in history in which the ratings actually jumped at halftime, higher than at any point in the game (I was there, working the game; even though he lipsynched, the crowd was in awe. The suspense the crowd felt was unreal). He could still bring it, andeven though it was not at the level of the 80's, he was still unbelievably loved...

I certainly agree here. One thing Michael loved was Free Willy.

In my opinion Elvis sucked but is the king of rock.
MJ had some great albums in the 80's (the end) and is the king of pop
The Beatles are the #1 most overrated band of all time.

All three of these artists are in the top 5 all time in selling records. Are they known because of there musical genius or because they were sexy and could moon walk?

Disagree on the Beatles. Their early bubble-gum stuff, written by other artists, is something I'll still listen to because they put a great spin on all those songs. Then they started doing drugs and their music really took off to another level. Lyrics were deep, music never became stagnant, songs/albums were fantastic. They revolutionized music in the States, and their music has stood the test of time. But hey, to each his own...

False. Buddy Holly inspired the Beatles. As John Lennon himself said:
"Without the Crickets, there would've been no Beatles". The first songs John and Paul ever played together were Buddy Holly songs. Elvis was a good guitar player, but he was nothing the composer/songwriter that Buddy Holly was. Seriously. Elvis is completely overrated, Buddy Holly completely underrated. While we'll never know for sure, I'd be willing to bet big bucks that if Buddy hadn't died in that plane crash, HE would be considered the King of Rock n Roll, not Elvis. Buddy Holly wrote the VAST majority of his own songs (composition and lyrics), Elvis wrote a small fraction.

Off the Wall, and Thriller were great albums. Seriously give them a listen. You don't sell 100 Million copies worldwide just because you are popular

There are two Beatles, The pre Rubber Soul Beatles that were a pop group, and The Post Rubber Soul Beatles that were incredible, Revolver is one of the best records ever recorded.

How are going to say false, when I watched a interview where Paul McCartney sited Elvis as the beatles biggest influence. They saw what Elvis was doing in America and were blown away. Any way I don't even like Elvis just stating facts. Buddy Holly shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as the two mentioned above.

When he was at his peak (Jackson) noone really knew what the future would hold for him. He was an incredible talent. I never really liked his music enough to buy any of his stuff. I do recall when the "Thriller" video appeared on MTV. It was quite a show. His dancing and singing was entertaining. His personal life was a train wreck. He was one disturbed super star. May he R.I.P.

i don't disagree, i'm not a Elvis fan. The entire point of this argument though is the fact that Jacko was a sexual predator and is now slowing and painfully burning in hell.

First off, Elvis was an entertainer, not a rock star. Elvis revolutionized rock music (as NDinLA so eloquently stated) because he was a white man, singing/dancing like a black man in 1955. This is because he was born in 1935 in Tupelo Mississppi, a predominately black community where he attended black southern churches. Elvis always attributed(sp) his singing started in those black churches. Elvis grew up, lived, at dinner with and socialized with black ppl. He also, absorb black music/dance culture. To say that Elvis was racist is just not true. I think ppl who say that cant possibly know the facts.

Elvis and MJ have alot simularities, both were entertainers. Both transcended all music genres, and even outside the music world. For me, the thing that sets them apart is the molestation stuff. With respect to MJ(rip), you have to mentioned it.

MJ has inspired tons and tons and tons of artist. Just as Led Zeppelin has inspired tons of artist. Seal, Usher, Justin Timberlake, New Edition, R. Kelly (no piss jokes pls), alot more that I cant think of because its not my kind of music.

I do think that '55 -'59 Elvis was cool for the time, if you look back at that, try to put yourself in those times. Elvis was fuckin cool then (as opposed to the not cool Vegas Elvis)

My mother was/is a huge Elvis fan, that is why i know these fun facts about Elvis. Saying that Elvis was a racist, or not somehow relevent is just an uninformed opinion.
