It now makes sense that ND is not actively recruiting a second TE in the '25 class
would love to see a decent amount of 21 personnel.
You can impose your will plenty of ways. ND has a couple really explosive running backs, it was foolish having them run between the tackles in 2/3 TE sets. We’ll see. Didn’t mind imposing our will with the two te’s from time to time.
Our te recruiting has been better than our wr recruiting as well.
Sure we can do that against Syracuse and Navy, but it's hard to consistently score like that against elite competitionWe’ll see. Didn’t mind imposing our will with the two te’s from time to time.
Our te recruiting has been better than our wr recruiting as well.
I wouldn’t say foolishYou can impose your well plenty of ways. ND has a couple really explosive running backs, it was foolish having them run between the tackles in 2/3 TE sets.
Yeah, I get why they did it but they couldn’t do it.I wouldn’t say foolish
They wanted to wear out teams and by the fourth quarter be able to protect the lead. Michigan just won the natty with same model
I'd strongly argue WR recruiting has been better than TE in 2023 and 2024. We'll see if the tide shifts in 2025 but we still have a shot at 1-2 elite WRsSpread gets shut down by plenty of elite teams too. I’m just saying our te and ol recruiting has been better than wr of late.
Meh.This is the greatest formation ever and we should use it every game. You won’t change my mind.

“When Notre Dame called and we had a couple conversations, this is a place that I’ve always felt my heart was,” he said. “It’s where I always wanted to be. The opportunity to come back here presented itself, and it was a difficult decision but the right decision.”- Denbrock
Don't need an 11th man on the field when you're in 12 or 13 man personnel! What if Denbrock decided to put an 11th man in this formation? Would that change your mind?
Love it.“When Notre Dame called and we had a couple conversations, this is a place that I’ve always felt my heart was,” he said. “It’s where I always wanted to be. The opportunity to come back here presented itself, and it was a difficult decision but the right decision.”- Denbrock
I’m sure there is a chance he reached out to Denbrock……..unfortunately we’ll never know all the folks who were contacted. I think it’s also reasonable to think Denbrock was not quite ready to bolt from LSU since he had just arrived and he had some star pupils in Daniels/WR room.My apologies if this has already been brought up but...
1) Any chance Freeman reached out to Denbrock last year when Rees left?
2) If that did happen, any chance Denbrock turned him down because he had Jayden Daniels at QB?
CorrectI’m sure there is a chance he reached out to Denbrock……..unfortunately we’ll never know all the folks who were contacted. I think it’s also reasonable to think Denbrock was not quite ready to bolt from LSU since he had just arrived and he had some star pupils in Daniels/WR room.
Not sure if it was this play or different one vs UNC at goal line with similar formation…. Every nd player pushed their guy into end zone but zeke got absolutely destroyed and the NT blew up the playThis is the greatest formation ever and we should use it every game. You won’t change my mind.
