I'm going to respectfully disagree with how you seem to view Charlie's treatment of the LGBTQ community. He didn't demonize nor talk down to them. He certainly never called for harm to them or taking away their rights. He simply disagreed with their views on several matters, and he did so civilly and respectfully. You can say that what someone believes in or does is wrong or morally wrong or a sin or bad for society or whatever, but do so civilly. That isn't attacking or demonizing.
