Mattress Shopping - Casper?

I'm looking to get a new mattress. The one I have is a pillow top plus. Cheaply made and is sagging in the middle.

Mattress shopping is awkward and I don't enjoy doing it. Anyone on here purchase a Casper mattress? Started in 2013 and available only online, so you can't try it out before you purchase it (unless you visit their one store in NYC).

Their concept is to build one model that is perfect for most people. I believe it's a hybrid mattress. Just wondering if anyone on here has experienced the Capser mattress? They offer to pick it up in 100 days if you don't like it, full refund.

Koon, my GF looked at these about a year ago. But we went another direction. We bought an iComfort and it's not anything special. We've had it about a year, but it's developed a 'hump'in the middle where nobody sleeps. Not a major one, but noticeable. The frame or support system is just as important as the mattress. I think that's where part of our problem is. We have a frame that has a support down both sides and one down the middle. Then has the slats laying over it going in the opposite direction. I think the support down the middle is mostly to blame for the hump. If you go with a slat system as oppose to a box spring, get the quality ones. It's worth it. Unfortunately our frame came with cheaper ones and didn't offer an option. So now I'll be forced to put a sheet of wood under the mattress above the slats and get a new mattress sooner than later. The Casper is one she's been looking at.

Good stuff. I'm comparing it against the Leesa, which is it's closest competitor it sounds. You should consider that one too I'm guessing.

I wish it were trips through pound town that caused the middle to sink in, but it's just a cheap mattress that has no support, so it's starting to cave. And I'm 170 pounds so it shouldn't be. NBD, time for a new one, but I don't like mattress shopping.

Casper's junk. Go with one of the S's that start at $1000. That's a good rule to follow.

I follow the rule of:

1. Find a floral print one on garbage day, or any day in a run down area sitting there for free

Or

2. If you must be fancy and buy a new one, drive around until you see a handwritten sign stapled to a phone pole advertising one for $100 or less
