Reading comprehension is hardHuh??? LOL... They were 9-4 and not 9-2. Perhaps that was your wishful thinking. But reality wasn't 9-2 it was 9-4. I will chalk that up to Freudian typing....

Pushing in all of my chips here. Truly have not been excited about this program like I am now in a very long time, and that is owed to Marcus Freeman. He's what this program needs right now at the best possible time.
Let's go.
Yep my bad.Reading comprehension is hard
Actually, discounting Kelly’s last recruiting class, freeman’s class looks a lot better. While I like Marcus Freeman, I don't see anything much better that can get us back into National Title hunt. A Top 9 class is not really a so-called "Gap Closing" class. He did win against Clemson and his bowl game so there is thankfully no hangover on those issues. However, it sucks our Top 3 Class slide down with the loss of so many high level players not closing.
Also, we have to be patient and not project overly-optimistic feelings without warrant. Like Faust, Freeman was never a HC. He made mistakes this year that costed us wins. Will he make less mistakes next year? We better hope so. We could have had Luke Fickell a solid HC with a high winning history. I believe Freeman was taken due to his charisma, players liked him, hope for recruiting prowess but the trade is the risk he had no HC track record. The recruiting is marginally better than Kelly but IMHO not good enough to say with confidence we are going to be chasing titles anytime soon.
Ruben Mendoza was fat too. Can’t have an obese S&C coach. How does this thread turn into Weis, Tenuta and Ruben Mendoza? FFS
My weekly reminder to you that you are the worst. You can't have a BAD s&c coach. Mendoza was that. People fat shaming him is just a bonus all these years later.Ruben Mendoza was fat too. Can’t have an obese S&C coach.
He's 37 years old and had his professional football career end due to an enlarged heart. He has to hire an offensive coordinator now. He's being paid a lot of money.Wonder how this man is holding up?
And his wife's hot and has a football team sized family of kids... he's doing greatHe's 37 years old and had his professional football career end due to an enlarged heart. He has to hire an offensive coordinator now. He's being paid a lot of money.
I think he's ok.
On the contrary, he can finally fill the staff with his people. Rees and Harry were not his people.I love me some Marcus Freeman but this has got to be the worst nightmare he could have had. And it might not be over.
I hope the coaching staff he does have is right there with him and pumping him up.

This is where I am at. I liked Harry but I will admit I am not exactly bummed to see him leave. Freeman has had an awesome record thus far in coaches he's hired so I am going to trust him to put his stamp on the program.
Well, girls do tend to mature quicker,…..The takes on this board about coaching changes are softer than puppy shit. My three year old niece handles nap time with better poise.
It is part of the profession whether you've been head coach for a year or for 30 years. In many cases, these guys leave and say nothing about it to their players, grad assistants and interns. That includes "goodbye" too. As a player, you get used to it after the first couple of times.Turnover is going to happen.

His wife's hot might be the biggest understatement on this boardAnd his wife's hot and has a football team sized family of kids... he's doing great
Find me a hot woman and I'll find you at least three guys who are completely sick and tired of her bullshit. His wife's hot might be the biggest understatement on this board
