Anyone watching this 3 point/dunk contest on CBS?

This Frankamp kid going to KU was on fire. 24 in First Round and 25 in Second Round

Steve Alford's son Bryce was in it too, pretty nice stroke. Unranked and only offers from UCLA and New Mexico per Rivals. Hmmmmm.

When G'twn, Nova, ND, Pitt, et al exited early there were posters here commenting on the Big East being overrated.

They put 3 in the Elite 8, at least one in the Final Four, with a possibility of a Final Four pairing.

Not too shabby for a dead conference.

I was DEFINITELY one of those people. They surely proved me wrong, and an all BE title game is likely at this point.

At this point it's also just about match-ups. Syracuse is always going to be a tough out for a non-Big East team because they play such an unusual defensive scheme. They play it REALLY well, but they're about the only team doing it.

And Louisville just looks like the best team by a fair margin right now.

But ND and Goergetown were particular disappointments.

Overall, heck of a year by the Big East.

Going along with the Big East theme.

In the men's and women's game there could very realistically be an all Big East championship game for both.

I know a lot of ppl were wondering about ND recruiting McGary since he is from Indiana but just want to point out, McGary went to basketball juggernaut Brewster Academy. It's a boarding school in NH that costs 47,000 a year.

List of their basketball alums: -> Teams and Programs -> Basketball (boys) -> Alumni Players . Insane amount of talent

Brewster's basketball team is just stupid.

I played in this conference back in the day. There is legit nothing like New England prep school basketball. The teams are just made up of all recruits. My school's team had all kids from New York and Europe, and then about 3 of us short white kids on the end of the bench lol.

Zach Auguste played at New Hampton which is another stud prep school team. Nerlens Noel played at Tilton the last couple years. Both those schools are in New Hampshire.

Georges Niang from Iowa State who is a frosh and who tore Cooley up played at Tilton too.

There are pretty much 2-5 McDonalds All-Americans who come from New England prep ball every year.
