I was watching an interview with Mike Pereira over the weekend and he basically said that while officials are instructed to always implement reviews based on what the live audience can see at home, literally to avoid mass doubt and conspiracy theories, there is no rule against what the B1G pigs did on Saturday. So, even though the whole thing makes zero sense and there appears to be multiple clocks, there's no way they are overturning this.

Pereira is incorrect.

According to NCAA rules, officials are required to use the program feed to determine if there is still time left. This crew didn't do that, and instead used an internal system clock in their replay feed to determine that, which they are not allowed to do. This is to assure transparency and integrity is maintained. So the officiating crew violated NCAA rules, thus why the MAC is appealing.
