L.A. Noire is a great game. I'm about to start disc 2 tonight on the Xbox360.

I recommend the game.

Here's a video:

If you decide to get the instant classic, hit me up...

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! YOU SAY NOTHING! NOTHING!

As soon as I am on Summer Vacation, this is job one.

That, and packing boxes and such other things and the like for the move.

I've had this game pegged as a must play since it was just starting to be developed.

You can totally pick out some of the actors the producers used also due to face mapping.

Damn JK... I know what you've been doing...

anyway, I want to get it but I'm not spending 60 bucks on it, I can wait a year or so when it's 30 bucks

two things...

1.) does it seem realistic or is it some kiddie game with violence and other adult themes like GTA?? Do you actually have to think or is it GTA in a cop outfit??

2.) is the sotry linear, or can you effect the way the story moves and flows according to how you go about things (God Cop/Dirty Cop and that decision impacts the story line)???

The main story line is a little too linear, in my humble opinion, but not to the level through 33% of the game that I'm tired of it. But the fact the city has, by attempts of the producers, to mimic real landmarks makes the game realistic. (The cars I've driven so far suck.) The 1940s scenario makes it fun.

Depending on how well you do your homework on the case and how logically you tie-in events and answers from persons-of-interest results in how far a case goes prior to solving the crime...

Side missions exist as well.

This game is not GTA. (Thank-god.)

Thanks JK...

but let me re phrase a bit... I'm wondering if this game is like GTA or even RDR in that there is very little thinking that takes place... every 'stage' or wahtever in each is mapped ut for you, every single'twist' is mapped out for you and you don't have to THINK about anything, ever... and all the bad guys are idoits and always react the exact same way... again, no thinking involved on your part, just react to what the game lays out for you...

is thisgame like THAT or is it more 'adult' or 'mature' in the actual PLAYING of the game... does it take logic and time to crack cases and do you actually have to be cautious about threats to you because you never know how they will react kind of thing...??

that's the best I can word it at the present

ACamp:

Unfortunately, yes. The game does lay out the storyline for you. The game does not have the morph ability and million different roads "Fable" was able to create.

It does have "GTA," "Red Dead Revolver," etc. undertones- absolutely.

You do have choices, just not the gratuitous freedom of which you speak.

I rented the game as well.

I suggest you do the same prior to buying it.

* Who are you ACamp, the Lawnmower Man? Sheesh.

I agree. I have two categories: rental and buy. This is a rental. Can't see much replay in this. If "heavy rain" and "Mafia" had a baby, it would be this.

eh, I'll buy it when it's cheap... I love Red Dead, but moreso for the poker and other side games... I'll stick to Fifa and The Show until NCAA comes out

I guess that it's time to "look" into trifocals ... my first reading/glance at the web site referenced was "gamefags.com.

Just sayin'.
