Looks like NY wouldn't give him a 4th year so he signed with Golden State. I still don't see his coaching credentials so its an ehhh coaching move.
I really like him as a player though, I just don't always see the automatic move from player to coach, even sitting on the sidelines doing commentary.

Jumper from the free throw line. Everyone thought it was Jordan getting the ball.

Championship, blouses!

Didn't Golden State just fire a commentator as a coach?

I like Kerr. He's probably my favorite b-ball announcer. I think he had mixed results running a team, but mostly good. Coaching though? No clue how he'll do. Good luck to him though, I'll be pulling for him.

Well, t's not strictly a player --> coach move because he was GM of the Phoenix Suns for 3 or 4 years, and I'm sure that experience has a lot to do with why teams are interested in him as a coach. But I get your point. No coaching experience. And as hoggy said, mixed results with the Suns, anyway.

The Knicks should get a coach who is willing to coach through a rebuilding phase, the Knicks are going to be terrible for a few years and the sooner management realizes that the better off they will be

kerr is a west cooast guy--had no interest in nyc...only in phil jackson.

I never understood why he would've taken his first coaching job as one where you have someone like Phil watching over you ready to take your job himself if need be. Forget the money or contract length, that wouldn't have made for a great first sotuation.

Rebuild or take a solid team to the next level?

Pretty easy imo
