Then don't make an inflammatory criticism till you do.
(what the hell's the motivation for that, anyway?)

He needs to spark a fire under Fisher’s ass.
we're averaging 49 pts or so a game right now while not giving up a td while OSU struggled like crazy to put up 23 pts against a bad IU squad and yet a few on this board act like the sky is falling for our irish and plus it is only two games with a new OL coach and so people just need to calm down and relax.

They sky is clearly not falling. I never once mentioned that. The communication among the offense has been fantastic so far.

Big Fish didn't give up any pressures Week 1. Did he screw up yesterday? I missed some of the game for PeeWee football.
Fisher got beat a few times in the 2nd half. There was a play when he was going against TSU’s best rush end and he just got beat. The rusher got to Angeli despite Steve getting the pass off for a short completion. Garrett stated that Angeli needed to get rid of the ball one tick sooner which is fair and acknowledged that it will come w/ more reps. Fish has proven himself and the OL is always slower to gel once a season starts. I trust he will put forth an AA effort

The interior is terrible. Fisher has been inconsistent all season. Alt is still very good despite getting beaten a couple times tonight

Shocked by how bad the o-line played tonight. Rudolph was good at Wisconsin!

A couple of the guys dont have a lot of game experience, but as a unit they are way under performing being mostly 4 star recruits. Poor coaching.

I miss Heistand so much! Rudolph is terrible and a pathetic excuse for an OL coach.

It's so sad to see the men on last year's OL regress to little boys this year. They look like the black and white scenes on a testosterone supplement infomercial struggling to open a jar. Like their manhood was sucked out of them when Harry left.

The O-line is talented and appears to be fairly well-coached. It's on the offensive coordinator for telegraphing plays and not having built a system of complimentary football. Everything looks harder than it should be.

I never thought I would say this but the OL cost us this game . Why did we not start 52 and 78?? Also 54 looked pedestrian. Couldn’t run block, couldn’t give 10 time to throw. Disappointing

Maybe this should go here.

WHAT WENT INTO THE DECISION TO ROTATE PLAYERS AT GUARD & CENTER?

“We had made that decision throughout the week. Again, we have to be better at the guard position and that was something that was evident last game. We said we're going to roll some guys at the guard position, we've got to do a better job of protecting our quarterback. We'll have to go and watch the film and see how each guard did, but we didn't protect the quarterback the way we needed to.”

Rudolph should be gone. I'm going to post a sensationalist, knee-jerk reaction. That was an all-time awful performance for an OL with two great OTs and a 5th-year senior center.

I would ask has anyone in ND history ever done less with more but I'm going to hold that comment for our OCs thread.

I find it weird that opposing teams have unblocked blitzers get home constantly, but ND rare gets anywhere whey they blitz.
Actually kinda obvious I think, we only ever have 6 defenders near the LOS, so the opposing blocking really knows who they need to account for. We always have 5 in pass coverage unless we blitz a corner or safety from far away that never gets home

Our offense runs a ton of plays with significant number of nd players right near oline, this puts 8-10 in the box allowing for opposing teams to have so many options on who to blitz and ability to disguise it, very difficult to pick up. Part of issue is no defense respects any of our wrs

Now the oline played bad last night in all situations not just the ones I mention above

Nd needs to spread out teams with our 12 and 13 personnel then run the ball off that, loading the box hasn’t worked in modern football for 20 years. Faison needs to play more

There is no reason for nd to have 2 tes and 2 wrs lined up as blockers next to the oline, it’s a disaster

ND always has talent on the line and will always recruit well, my biggest takeaway this year is the play of Blake Fisher.

Tosh Baker was put in in the 4th quarter and he blocked! Send a message to the team, this o-line: bench Fisher and start Baker vs USC.

I've never gotten the fisher hype he has never lived up to the rankings and potential. He will destroy guys yes, but he also misses so many key blocks that just kill drives

Shoot…I miss and would take Jeff Quinn over this loser Rudolph. I know everyone says he was the OL coach for those great Wisconsin lines. But his Wisconsin lines never won the Joe Moore award. And how many first rounder draft picks did his great Wisconsin Olines produce?
