I don't think it's that at all. Why in the hell would you try to move the teams right now while there are too many unknowns at this point? Still alot of reports of more people invovled
I get not moving them immediately.

But to try and play a football game in this same location in 30 hours? That seems preposterous.

Orange Bowl needs to be delayed as well. 2 extra days of rest for the Penn State is not fair. Decisions like this are where you really need an entity not named ESPN or the bowl CEO making the call.
Yep but NFL will selfishly not allow it.... Fuck you goodell

With all the law enforcement down here right now....I'm good with it. Way I look at it, why try and mobilize another city when this one is already flooded with it

Yeah. WT actual F. They're not postponing the Sugar Bowl to Indianapolis or anywhere else.
I mean you’re right it’s probably not going to get moved but let’s say they keep finding IEDs around the city over the next 24 hrs? You don’t see any chance they move the game?

I can only imagine the enhanced security apparatus for tomorrow.

You’re all right, of course. They should move the game, but they won’t. Economic impact, history, etc. That’ll influence the decision. Play it in Tupelo for all I care. The point is that it shouldn’t be played in New Orleans this year due to the circumstances.

Not to fucking Indiana. Why not Atlanta? The fecal explosions in this thread would be epic.

Houston is probably a more likely scenario if they change locations. It won't be done in 24 hours either. You don't just move the Sugar Bowl from one city to the next in a day. There's more logistics and municipal planning. Dudes in this thread are waving magic wands.

Give law enforcement the time they need and kickoff tomorrow in NO.

They’re probably analyzing who dropped the IEDs off right now. A lot of questions. But as long as they secure the dome and perimeter areas we should get the game done in NOLA.

Relocating the entire operation to some other city for a game tomorrow seems even more preposterous.
You couldn’t do it tomorrow, but you probably could by Saturday. Or move the entire thing back a week. Who cares? They’re currently still searching for and deactivating live munitions. They allegedly are still searching for accomplices in the area and we’re going to convene 60k spectators plus teams and employees in that same location in 27 hours?

You do realize the ncaa headquarters are in Indy correct? And all of March madness was in Indy during covid. It probably won’t happen but if the game gets delayed again tomorrow Indy is absolutely a viable site. The city is literally built around hosting big events

That stadium will be the safest place in the world tomorrow night.

It's the rest of the city between now and then that's questionable.

But, the logistics of moving it are hard to fathom.

Especially if the Orange Bowl, ESPN, NFL etc aren't going to play ball about pushing everything else back.

Orlando could take it with about 20 minutes notice.

I'm wondering why this guy went off 18 hours before kickoff?
If it was part of a bigger scheme/plan to inflict maximum casualties, why so early?
