Who’s going to do all the shit? Clearly we need to open the door wide open to criminals from all over the world and fly them in the tax payers dime and put them in hotels.

Some exceptions and 300k in a month plus flights and hotels are not that similar.Didn't Trump already backtrack and say they need to make exceptions? Seems like Trump agrees with Hunter.
All those slaves that were fighting their way here to work.Same argument dems were making 165 years ago about not freeing the slaves and "Who'll pick the cotton?"
You have to do mass raids at job sites and immigration offices to stop paying for hotel rooms? Some exceptions and 300k in a month plus flights and hotels are not that similar.

Republicans don’t care about illegal immigration. If they did they would go after the businesses that hire illegals. That would actually solve the “problem”. They won’t because they know it’s deeply unpopular and bad for the economy.
Just seems more efficient and more "bang for you buck" rounding up illegals at a work site than just arresting them here and there. You have to do mass raids at job sites and immigration offices to stop paying for hotel rooms?

Because it's a federal crime? Guess we can pick and choose which laws we want to enforce after all.Why are businesses at fault? Shouldn't they be able to operate under the assumption people applying are legally in the country? Government refuses to do its job so businesses should do it for them?
Let's keep this ID argument in mind next time voting rights comes up.Just seems more efficient and more "bang for you buck" rounding up illegals at a work site than just arresting them here and there.
Go after the businesses as well, but it won't be as effective. My wife worked for a company that hired a lot of Hispanics. When hired, it wasn't uncommon that they would present fake ID that looked like the real thing.

The government has has the ability to punish its own citizens, yes. Unless you're suggesting illegals be kept here in prison instead of being deported? They don't know that the employees they're paying under the table below minimum wage are illegal?More of a crime to hire someone than it is be here illegally. Makes total sense. How about businesses getting a bounty for rounding up illegals - they should be encouraged to help enforce our laws rather than punished for being lied to by their employees.
Employers are required by law to verify ID at risk of penalty for failure to comply. If it is so important for a guy hiring a dishwasher then maybe it isn't such a really that much of a burden for voters either. Or is your argument that Voter ID isn't worth it unless it is infallible?
This isn't an all or nothing. Not everyone has a fake ID. I imagine the number is fairly low. I would prefer to have ID in order to vote and end up with a small amount of illegal votes then not require an ID. The excuses of it being difficult to get an ID are weak. If a person really wants to vote, they'll find a way to get the ID. It may require them to put in some effort, but that's better than just letting someone vote without verification. The government has has the ability to punish its own citizens, yes. The point is that the right loves banging on about how we need voter ID to solve the very real very important issue of voter security, but suddenly when it's suggested the IDs be used for businesses to stop hiring illegals they are unreliable and easily faked.
You guys can't square the MAGA immigration stance with the GOPs lack of action to actually stop illegal immigration to begin with. It's all talk, obviously. The second deportations started effecting agriculture Trump caved.

So anyway, more ICE raids please.
What? The United States should take in every Gazan refugee. They are creating them. If you don't like it, don't bomb them (or provide the bombs to create refugees).
